yeah, im sure they settle a little lower... geo (enzo) put some on his black and blue starlets and he said they were down about 70-80mm!! pm him mate, he may be able to give you some answers. Rich.
-
well it doesnt come on any of our n/a starlets over here mate!! mine is australian spec and it has the same restrictive one that the uk one have! fair play if you guys get the fte ones!! and joz, yeah, it is a good thing, but at times i do wish that the rev limit was a little higher!! (i think geo will agree with me on this one!) Rich.
-
you'll need to be changing user name soon then!!! nice one bud. looks like a nice example... like the wheels.
-
tried to convince my mate to get a 1.8 baleno, which are pretty quick. but he bought a golf in the end. i keep thinking they look quite glanzaish??
-
you cant re map the ecu's mate... besides the ecu will adjust the fueling to suit the amount of air coming in. the only thing i found was a pain was that the new inlet mani allowed the power to keep coming right up to the rev limiter... whereas before is was out of puff by 5k, which makes me think it could do with having a slightly higher rev limit.
-
what do you mean lower in time buddy? geo found out that they settle a little lower than they say, so in a way, yes they probably will settle lower.
-
either way, its much less restrictive than the one you have on the car!
-
yep. i'll go straight on. you wont be able to fit the standard airbox though as the mani is shorter than the normal one. Rich.

quite a few of us use 'pi' springs, they cost about £80 over here, but they are rock solid!! there are some here -> http://www.potn.co.uk/toyota_c1473_1474_1475_1507.htm Rich.

look like were all in the dark here... look here-> http://www.planetsoarer.com/offset/studs.htm i wont be driving so hard from now on until i get some! Rich.
-
yeah, pretty sure it is.

its the 4efte/5efhe inlet manifold.. you can re use the old gasket thats on the car mate. geo tried one of these on his old blue ep91. it sounded really nice. and actually the most powerful version of the 4efe @80-99BHP came in the ep82 gi (a gt without the fte) which came with this manifold. Rich.

no worries bud. bit of a mistery why no one wants them?? i would have thought they would have been snapped up!
-
i genuinely didnt know what they were really for... never sa any use for them??!! hmmmmm maybe i'll be getting a set! Rich.

yeah, just looked it up... never used spigot rings with my wheels before... but after looking at the problems when you dont have them, i may have to get some!!!
-
i never used spigot rings on my wheels??? are we talking about the same part? the plastic ring that you attach to the wheel so you can put the wheels on the hub before putting the bolts in? if so ive never needed them!

sorry, i understand what joz was asking now... it would probably be a good upgrade for the jdm mani... but you would defo need a full exhaust system. maybe keep the backbox, but centre section would be far to small. this is the one i mean... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-EXHAUST...1QQcmdZViewItem there is a guy who does mild steel ones that are miles cheaper... and i looked into getting one and it was gonna cost me £120 delivered from the states. heres a bit about head skimming... http://pcwww.liv.ac.uk/~goodhew/Student%20...eadSkimming.htm when you skim the head because your r
