  1. One way to check is get a mate (preferably with a newer car with standard wheels) and go to a dual carriage way -- both drive at 50mph if you stay next to each other then your clocks are calibrated correctly -- If either of you are pulling away from each other drastically then there's something wrong.
  2. Would that not really all depend on the CFM of the hairdryer?
  3. Thank fuck ecks has got some suspension Looking good mate -- If I had to buy wheels for my Glanza when I first got it they were going to be those ones (although ultralites ) (You must have good taste ) I like that you're keeping to the JDM theme.
  4. At least you know where you stand with a standard import (though it's not as uncommon as you think -- They are used as normal cars over there) Sourcing parts shouldn't be too hard -- there's a wealth of people doing stuff for them in the uk, and abroad so if there's anything specific you need I'm sure someone will provide you with a link to it.
  5. Heh -- passing trade when TGTT is down My girlfriend has said I can't browse the net for 2weeks when we're on holiday Might have to sneak away and browse a wee bit when she's not looking
  6. Heh... he only had it a week or two (sorry wasn't laughing at your misery shaun ) then again I was pretty attached to my car from the moment I got it...
  7. What site shanks? -- If it's takakaira then probably, but then shipping is a bitch. Also takakaira offers an "agent" service so you can import bits from japanese in-house tuning companies who don't/aren't willing to export. It'll cost a couple hundred extra quid but can be worth it sometimes. Although now envy have started doing it themselves (well with and agent -- that's why they have all the zep snd cruise stuff on their site) so that a good reliable british based (english talking) company so no mix-ups.
  8. Is that you or your girl in the first pic? -- Just so I know to call you mate or whatever Turn up at a show to see a person you thought was a guy/girl and it turns out to be the opposite could be a freaky experience Looks nice though, clear indicators defo suit the silver better than orange. I feel like I recognise the car from being advertised. P.S Where you from lad(d)y? <-- see the unisex comment
  9. You don't need uprated head gaskets unless you are planning on running a lot of boost. Also tell him (now this will sound like cheek seeing as I only found out this weekend but... ) The lightweight Glanza's aren't restricted to lo-boost in 1st and second and they run standard head gaskets -- But will prove your point.
  10. You'd think it wouldn't you It's just so easy to use compared to photobucket etc I only upload stuff I use for forums and misc pictures there -- For my own photo's I use FlickR: It's great for keeping all your personal photos on, 1GB monthly upload limit (no single size limit) and only £17.50 a year... Bargain :o [edit] You also get a free sign-up with flickR, but you have a 20mb monthly limit, which for a 6mp cam is about 5 photo's at high res [/edit]
  11. Have you checked for error codes? If the ignition was retarded for any reason by the ECU there would be an error code.
  12. Think I asked this on another post -- but have you got a contact where you can get them at that price? because that is a pretty good price!!
  13. It's cool it'll give me an excuse for being the slowest car there "erm... no traction on the start" "erm... had to slow down to avoid all the puddles"
  14. Upload your pics to something like Imageshack instead. It's what I use for my random pic uploads.
  15. I've just noticed tinman -- do you have your eyebrows painted on? (Not your actual eyebrows -- the ones on the car ) P.S Geo did you get your eyebrows off Dave when he was selling them at discount? I really quite like them but could you take some close-up pics for me, I was wondering how close the fit is at the top corner.
  16. Hissing sounds like a boost leak -- Where are you taking your boost gauge reading from? And fuel cut is a huge jerk of the car -- you'd know if you were having it! As for your speed issue -- I'd say you need a speed cut defencer, but speed cut is at 112mph so you're not even close to it? Do you mean your car only actually gets up to 87mph or it only gets up to 87mph by this bridge? We have a similar test called funnily enough the "bridge test" pull out a junction on a country road and see what speed you get by the railway bridge.
  17. Did anyone not notice he only posted the hello -- about a week ago.... then hasn't replied since?
  18. Just not too big mine is 500x125 -- All depends on what resolution people are running at home too.
  19. Hey the 200 BRM's weren't cars to be messed with!! very fast indeed... it was a joke though But reckon the orange would compliment the striped out "race" look you're going for -- you could put a net in the back for your helmets (or baseball caps whatever)
  20. I love your car mate!! I saw it when it was for for sale on new era... you've got a beauty, it's so nice! Definately a loved car when it was in Japan!!
  21. Well prices taken from Takakaira are: Front Bumper(FRP) -- USD$674 Rear Bumper(FRP) -- USD$545 Roof Spoiler(FRP) -- USD$508 Side Step(FRP/L&R) -- USD$490 Eyeline(FRP/L&R) -- USD$148 Which quickly in my head comes to -- USD$2365 (GBP£1,257.44) before shipping and I'd say another ~~GBP£800 for delivery??
  22. Don't think lightweight meand that much mate (where price is concerned) -- Bar you'll get a strong right arm rolling up the windows P.S. I paid £5800 for mine
  23. Nah go orange -- make it look like a BRM Rover
  24. It's ok Geo mate -- I'll be there so it won't rain, in fact it'll be a belter of a day Dunno everytime I go to a car-realted thing I always get sunburnt (Hope this doesn't come back to bite me in the arse)
