Another Transit Claims The Life Of Another Starlet

£30 is a bargain -- My bro was an extra £300 for his Rover for modifications but it was "open" ie covered anything he wanted to do in the future (to certain extents) -
You'll all be getting sick of them -- but washed the car last night and it was so nice so thought I'd take some more pics. Not very striking but nice all the same I thought ;) Excuse the bad exposure on the forest shot's. I was getting eaten alive by midges so didn't stick around too long. As always HQ's can be found on my FlickR Account Comments welcome ;)

Mine just feel spongy -- gonna do the DOT5.1 fluid and braided lines as a first route though. My mates are quite handy -- might see about doing a GT4 brake conversion at some point if it looks possible (and they'll lend a hand)

Everyone who gets banned from driving has to take an extended driving test as far as I'm aware -- although that might just be for reckless/careless driving. It's really just another test -- if you can drive properly you can pass it.

This is the exact reason I searched around for an insurance company that actually recognise the Glanza -- and not a 96 GT Turbo or NA EP91 like ome people have done. I'd just rather be safe than sorry ;) In some cases you'll get raped for declaring your mods but for the likes of suspension/wheels etc it's not too bad. Sorry to hear the consequences but hope you can get something sorted. Why not sue for whiplash you might not get your insurance payout -- but you may as well try claim like all the other bloody liability insurance frauding buggers out there. -
I read (but didn't really follow -- 4 12hr shift's in a rown will do that) but what disc's did you end up using? the 323gtx discs from DBA? will the discs being the same size diameter (from what I understand from reading they're the same Ã? ) make much difference just because they're thicker? I fancy doing something similar myself.

I've got RSR springs -- they're made for drift/track use... bit harsh but seem pretty well matched with the HYB shocks on my car.

Just noticed you lose some of the cool "options" you get with IPB Default 2.1 like quick edit when you use Pop Orange ;)
-
Never received a PM bud ;) The candy apple is definately looking lush though!
-
I think this is what warrant's dangerous driving: Dodgy Carpark drifting What did you get caught doing to be banned?
-
That's daihatsu copen isn't it? Pretty fly!

Looks good Baz!! What kind of wheels do you have for it? If they're multispoke style wheels then I'd say black -- if the spokes are a bit fatter then I'd say keep them silver. How much would a car cost to spray if the customer did all the prep?
-
What skin are you using for the site? Mine was still on the IPB Default and never really noticed much. But I've changed to PopOrange and there's a nice little banner up the top ;)
-
Looks very shiny mate (and yeah I did think your bucket seat was brown at first ;) )
-
What Recaro's were in the car before? Got any pics? eh eh eh ;)
-
Must get pretty colourful when you're breaking hard mate ;) Did you have the wheels painted like that when I saw you the other week down the shore?
-
Smaller wheels aid acelleration down to the simple fact they have a smaller rolling radius (so long as you don't start spinning them) Larger wheels on the other hand will give you a higher top speed, if you can image 1 revolution of a smaller wheel would go a shorter distance in the same time. Have a play about with my bro's tyre sizer : Tyre Sizer You can see Geo change above (195/45/16 to 185/55/14) is a difference of 2.4mph @ 60mph ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A

hah!I like it mate -- take it those are kick-about wheels? Do a how too on the brakes of you get them on as I'd quite like to give it a shot myself.
-
Am I not right in saying not all of them glow in the first place? Or is it just that the couple I've seen not glow are broken?
-
Nothing tacky please

I've just noticed the quick-edit button! That's handy since my keyboard likes to miss out letters occasionally

The GT15 is rated for 1.0-1.6litre so would assume 1.3 would be perfectly suited being right in the middle! Pauls got the hardcopy catalogue from when he bought his GT3540 but I'll have a poke around the net quickly. But yeah -- Saying that you could probably get the CT9 hybridised which (from the RR on sat I was at) can get 210bhp easy and keep your manifold etc. I'm sure the GT15 uses a T2 flange but once again a quick poke on the net will find that out

My mates selling his GT4 to buy a seat ibiza cupraR -- they're actually not too bad performance wise. It's the same 180bhp 20v turbo engine as the Audi TT, he's planning on getting it chipped and sourcing the bigger turbo which will give him 220bhp (and be safe as houses) Sorry this thread was about splitters, don't mind me
-
I'd reckon 200 would be obtainable -- You might be as well getting a slightly bigger turbo though, and save some hassle. I know from under your avatar that you're response -- There's more turbo's in the world than the TD04 or even the GT25. My mates been showing me the compressor maps for the Garrett GT20, GT17 or GT15 turbo's. They'd all provide extremely quick spool-up times (maybe even better than the CT9 -- Though I doubt anyone runs these turbo's so we'll not know) and the smallest (GT15) is rated to 220bhp which I'd say is ideally suited to your needs.
