  2. I think Joz has some pics of his car up on a lift thing from fitting his gubbins underneath, try his thread
  3. Unlucky, hope it's not much to fix, look on the bright side your cars in better nick than Geo's After dropping my g/f I went to go back to get to work, and for 5 mins I was away from that bit of road, there was an accident that 2 police cars and 2 fire engines were rushing down, had to go way-around through flooded country roads in the dark, fun.
  4. Got hols booked too, are we gonna be chessey and organise motorway convoys?!
  5. Some people have no shame, HID's are (and have been for a while) on my to-do list, Car looks great
  6. You tried Jay on TGTT he's an ep82 breaker, should be able to get you a lot
  7. Bought the car for £2k I Can't quite remember how much the alloys and sub/rear speakers cost, so I gave em £300 each (more or less right), clear indicators/repeaters and bulbs come to £65 sr clocks were £50 both headlights £177 Gear Knob £15 Tax disc holder £10 Wind deflectors £30 TRD oil/rad/fuel cap about £90 for the set Door handles £10 each, strut bar £35 Alarm £200 (I think forgot what it said on the receipt already) It all adds up without you realising,........ (forgot the head and backb
  8. Was it setup right, I think somebody here add it set to 3 cylinders so it reported higher than it actually was
  9. Green one 6.2162162162162162162162162162162% Silver one 63.909% (mostly from actual recipets, some guess work) Not counting door mats(!) or bits yet to go on!
  10. Thanks guys I'll give it a go when it's light I'm going to put the bulb out of my car in to test if the circuit is still good, should I just get a normal bulb to put in mine, or put a coloured light in?
  11. Quick update: Picked up the Green car on mon's is as good as new Only prob is the interior light doesn't work now!, tips on how to remove the cover without breaking it? Also g/f passed her theory the week before xmas, and has booked the practical test for the 19th of march
  12. For the full cluster Neither! (might be easier if you remove the bottom bit though) If your Lucky (Like me) you won't need to rewire your plugs, if you do your on your own, sorry Plug wiring guide you want your plugs to match the 'New Clock' Columns 1) Sit in the drivers seat, look under the hood that covers the instrument cluster 2) Remove the two screws you see, there are some ridges the top uses keep it in and the bottom has some metal spring wedge things (see first pic) the pop into the square holes labelled A (Second Pic) 3) The cluster is not shown but it screws into the round holes
  13. If you have slim hands you can reach around to undo the electric plugs, the speedo cable is an arse, in the end I lay in the foot reached up and around with my hand and undid it that way, finger and thumb on either side, squeeze, and wiggle it out Have pics if want?
  14. Have family in the NHS, view from the inside, it's being sold off/privitised Typical Nu-Labour if it's a problem tax and fuck the working man Signed If this went through it kill the self-employed the not well off would simply not be able to afford a car (saying drive off-peak is rubbish, driving to work is peak time how do you avoid that?) I'd be tempted to get a big motorbike from the scrappers(off the system;)) fix it up, not reg it and away I go, not on the system, no mot, no insurance, no tax, no BB, cheap and easy for me, other people would do the same, but would they bother keeping t
  15. My uncle does rally recovery, a few weeks before x-mas he showed me pics from some amateur rally day. A 106 or 206 an older one, had hit a tree, drivers side near top of the window, the cage piping was a single piece, but must of been thinned in bending it as it just snapped, the corner snapped and the roof came down, (almost looked like a noose) I think the guy got away, but had he been leaning forward, anyway as with all things it's best to make sure you get something solid The front end of that thing is FLAT
  16. 'Lexarse' indeed go buy a corsa if you want them For clear indicators/side repeaters use search function or look in the part numbers section
  17. The girlfriend says back to white, I say I like the black stripe;) but you should finish it all the way down the front bumper. painting the bonnet black will make it look like you've had a crash and stuck a non-matching bonnet on
  18. Read the article, it also watches for erratic driving (though it does worry me the car could just stop dead in the middle of a busy road), and also for added big brother theres a camera on the dash to watch your pupils and spot that stoned expression,..... Good ideas, but more weight and power drain I wouldn't want in my car
  19. Sounds like some idiot driving off the over guy, the fact the police gave you praise for how you handled it is good (bonus points for landing it the right way up )
  20. She doesn't mind me modding it, just spending the money! I sold the old backbox so I have nowt to replace it with, it was a steal at that price, as joz pointed out they go for £100+ plus p&p, so it's staying put! took my girlfriend into a motorbike shop once, the petrol/oil smell drove her crazy, we had to leave before she did something lewd to me My budget is £25 a week, so £100 a month slim but patience will pay off
  21. One of the traders on TGTT is gonna start selling replica rear bumper extension soon, can't remember who!
  22. Off e-bay including p&p it came to massive £30-40:p can't quite remember! Thanks Mikey, the missuses really wanted one in dark green like yours, it's quite a nice looking colour The green car will be back Friday this week or Monday next the nice car repair people tell me. When that jobs done I'm going to get a quote for patching/sticking the spoiler on and a few other bits (got a dints/scraps I want sorted) I've been told by the misses not to spend so much, so I may have to save up for a bit
