Reviving an old thread, but I'll have some updates on this car from a track day in December.
Awesome! There's new videos that were uploaded today funnily enough

I tend to be about halfway on Meisters, softer in the front by a few clicks. 30psi all round on AD08R's
-
Skiny, I used Astra discs no spacers. Use the search function its all been written up before.
SOLD! Please lock
-
Provisionally sold pending payment
-
sounds amazing!
-
Nice! What other parts are you thinking of producing?

They would be track only for me

I'd like to try Dunlop DZ03G if I ever get round to owning a set of track only wheels, heard they last ages and are the best in the dry for track days
AD08R's have been great on the street, comparable levels of grip to NS2R but quicker to heat up and more comfortable to live with (the downside being less feedback & faster wear which I think is the case so far)

Don't suppose you'd have a link? Seen online that a specific type of 3m is very strong, but it's like £60/roll!
-
Single piston from the later model GT4, the twins are from the earlier model with smaller discs from factory
-
Didn't think that would be strong enough, I'll check it out thanks!
-
Ah didn't think of that, thanks Idrees!
Any ideas of what I can use to fit my arch trims back on, that isn't as hardcore as Tigerseal?

Item For Sale: Complete Celica GT4 ST185 big brake kit
Item Condition & Description:
- 277x25mm Mintex grooved discs (3k miles on these, great condition cost me about £100 at the start of this year)
- Calipers and carriers from Celica GT4 ST185 that bolt straight on, no spacers or different braided lines needed
- Ferodo DS2500 pads (these are crazy good) been used for about 4 months and cost me over £100
- Yellowstuff pads also included these were also very good pads for the few months I used them, never had any problems
- Blueprint OE quality pads (could also throw these in if required, good pads with a month or two use on them)
- Front pair of braided lines, either Goodridge or Earl's (these work fine, but aren't cosmetically the prettiest)
This is a great upgrade for anyone looking for some more braking power, been running these for years now and got new discs this year along with the upgraded pads. Even on Blueprint pads the performance on these is very strong, not giving any fade over 20min sessions on track and road use is not an issue. Full track days have also been great! Most recently session at Silverstone was awesome, and aero/tyres were my limiting factor!
They also have excellent clearance. I've run the following wheels with these brakes and no spacers:
- Team Dynamics Drifz 15x7
- MR2 15x6.5
- OZ Superleggera 15x7 ET37
- OZ Crono 15x7
- TOM's C3-R 15x7JJ
As mentioned above I will include a very recent set of Ferodo pads (these aren't cheap) and Yellowstuff/Blueprint pads also.
Price: SOLD
Pictures:
Comparison to stock (the new discs I fitted this year are 6 groove)
Payment & Shipping Details: Collection would be good but postage shouldn't be a problem

I assumed petrol would work but I was warned to be careful on fibreglass (never worked with fibreglass so I have no idea?)
I removed the OEM glue off my original arches the same way, but I think that glue is a lot milder too -
Hey guys,
Does anyone know the best way to remove tigerseal from fibreglass?
Bought a set of used wide wings, and the lower areas have old residue from where arch trim/sideskirts were fitted before.
Any ideas?
Thanks

These are so retro! Just out of curiosity have you weighed them, Phil?

Trying to see if there's a time around uni commitments, where I can drop mine off..
-
Got a 320mm Momo in mine, love it! Just need a spacer to bring it closer as I've moved the seats way back on custom rails
-
Update, having used mine with Ferodo's and Typ 200 fluid with a working master cylinder at Silverstone a few weeks ago I'm very happy!
I was out-braking a lot of cars and the pads didn't go off after a 20 min stint!
If anyone is interested, I'll be putting my complete ST185 brake setup including nearly new DS2500 AND Yellowstuff pads up for sale shortly

It depends on how stiff/slidey you want the rear to be
