Harsh! there'll be no nicking and chopping Yup Toby, was there yesterday at Bellfield Autos (top MOT garage), today was there for a handbrake and front caliper check...it'll be back there soon again as I'm having one of the welders on the estate fit me a flat floor in the boot (save the weight of the spare wheel recess). The car is running a mild 203hp atw, I'm hoping that's a bulletproof number (more aswell!), I'm not fussed about chasing figures...I'm too old.
-
or week in our case (unless we die enroute) Imagine it, 2 EPs and an R32 GTR chasing eachother over the alps...a uksc exclusive Geo please lend me your bullet cam setup..please? I'll be your bestest friend

I would get some practice vids up if the DVR hadn't died Will try and do a few vids over the coming days. Having issues with the sound too, where to put the mic. Good job I'm doing all this before we go hey?
-
Hmmm..so minxy in that case you think we'd get away with bullet cams bolted to the rollcage in the car? bit sceptical tbh lol
-
I thought it was quite well hidden, not much to work with on the front bumper Problem is, if you have a passenger he can whip out the camera from the glovebox when you start the lap...I have neither a passenger or a glovebox!

Adam should be at Bluewater with me on friday Those Endless are silly big, 350mm discs and 6 pots. I'm off down to Hi-Spec on saturday morning to see if they can make up some bell and rotors for the EP and see if I can squeeze a few more mm from the disc size (275mm currently). It looks like my completely wank dvr has packed up again...new unit (second one now). Might have to invest in a decent setup before the trip

where else can i take a wire for the rev tacho?
NightSpirit replied to Tommy_G's topic in Electronics
thought as much...I've always used pin 7...it's a nicer colour. Also..according to Apex-i, pin 7 is RPM. Anyone got a loom diagram? -

From your diagram, black is earth, red is IGN power, green is fuck knows? it's not speed, YELLOW (unless I'm mistaken..that's an EP82 diagram) is RPM -

Rob mate, the yellow one in your diagram is the RPM? -

Just seen Ricks post.. as I also have an EP91...the RPM pin is the 11th in from left (top row again as per ep82) on the 26P connector Sorted. I'm a god -

Forgot to add, just in case...that's for the RPM -

Hi Tommy, You can take a reading directly from the loom (it's a neg feed I think) I used it for the Apex-i tacho...use a wire jumper/connector to simply tap into the feed. The wire you need is the 7th wire in on the 26pin plug from the left...holding the ECU in your hand with the 26 pin plug attached on the left and the 16 pin on the right. Where the little plug clips that lock it to the ECU are at the top... -
It's fairly well hidden no? Cal loves the gayness as do I No cams on the 'ring since about 2004 I think, risk of recording crashes etc. Everyone still tries it though. Kierz, the 'liner is a damn cool car. Cheap as chips now, just not cheap to tune or run (Adam returns around 17mpg on a good day). If I had a choice it'd be a 33 for looks, but a 32 for weight and oldschool cool. Adam's car is running 364hp atw so the power to weight really shows it seems. He couldn't believe the car was that quick, and his car isn't slow.
-
Can you spot it? let's hope the 'Ring nazi's don't! Vids to follow Mate Adam in the GTR came over for beer and hugs, we had some 'fun' on the local roads and he couldn't keep up from a standing start, but could stay with me at speed (not a good test tbh as the roads are bumpy as hell round here)
-
I did try having 'anuscam' but the velcro on the sides made it itch. It was funny at the MOT station, they also had a guy bring in a 328 spider..looked mint. Everyone was ignoring it and taking photos of the EP!
-
Hey that's not me...mine's in an awesome spot. pics to follow, later..and maybe a vid if I can stop the dead flies splatting all over the lens
-
the ass end ofcourse
-
I've found an awesome place for the bullet cam...will upload a 'guess where the cam is' pic later and a video. Mate is hiding his cam in a nodding dog on the dash!
-
I'm 30 so I need other skillz to pay the bills...when I'm not teaching the stig how to drive, I manage development at a casino game company
-
I've already told you Rick..I have skillz, way beyond that of mortal men.
-
The mechanic spent most of his time taking photos and telling everyone how light the bonnet was...maybe he ran out of time and just passed it
-
If you look on the government website for MOT testing...look at the checks they do. You'll see there that a dashboard isn't a requirement. The car has the dash binnacle for speedo etc. It also says no sharp objects or something like that near driver or passenger...the only thing I can smash my brains in on is the cage or cross beam.
-
Ah no...if you check the MOT guidelines it'll mention bodywork being sound and no sharp edges caused by deterioration or something like that...so big rambo knives on the bonnet is a pass.
-
Just kidding...haha. No advisories Back in tomorrow for a handbrake tweak.

***WARNING DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SITES*** Wanted Con-Man
NightSpirit replied to siilversurfer's topic in Lifestyle General
I saw this a while back...believe it or not the track star (golden sleeper) came from his site. He lists cars on Yahoo from time to time. Sorry to hear about the trouble. People think that because they are in a different company they can take the piss. Want me to send some boys over in Japan?
