  1. Are you insane? heel and toe in a 306td is the easiest thing in the world..
  2. Matt you need to check if the turbo has this port then...if it does use that as it's going to be more accurate/faster to respond to pressure changes than taking the reading from the inlet manifold as the signal there will have travelled about 300 miles through the IC to get there. If the port is there and it has a pipe on it blocking it up, remove it and plug your boost gauge into that to test it's working before using it as the feed for the actuator.
  3. Montana, this is the confusion...Matt/Bongus/MuthaDucka has a TD04 (Mitsi??) it has no turbo out / pressure signal port on the turbo (I don't think) so he's using the inlet manifold to get the boost pressure (which is what the boost gauge would do anyway..it's the same thing). I think it's all good as you have it Bong TGTT is toss though isn't it? gimp to intelligent member ratio is very very high. Off topic I know
  4. Afternoon Bongus...looking good mate My opinion on this you know, you have it connected correctly, feed from the inlet manifold for pressure in the system, this would normally just go directly to the actuator/wastegate to allow the actuator/wastegate to open when the default boost level is reached. If you fit the TVVC between that path so the inlet manifold goes to the 'in' on the TVVC and the 'out' on the TVVC goes to the actuator you then have something that is interrupting the pressure to the actuator, the more you close the TVVC the more pressure/boost you'll need to generate from the in
  5. Ok so I'm starting this off, not sure if YouTube vids qualify but here's a few. a while back, when I moved the Blitz SUS to the front bumper, still running the CT9 on stock boost with no bov A run on the dyno at GTArt in 01/08 this run was 203hp at the wheels The simulation run at GTArt to test the car under load. Sneak peak of the planned euro trip, basically a test with premiere and the bullet cam Latest test with the bullet cam setup (DogCamSports POV1) in the front bumper and a remote mic in the passenger footwell.
  6. that's the cmos in direct sunlight that is...only fault with the cam. I'm going to run with that setup for the trip. Rob the vid was 400 meg uncompressed so I thought best to pooTube it
  7. That would be hard as the Ford GT was made quite a few years after the NSX rolled off the production line...the GT40 (the bonnet/rad vent is similar to the nsx) could have been a basis for Honda to copy?
  8. Go and wash your eyes....and mouth out galliano..the NSX is superior to the Ford GT in every single way possible and several impossible ways too. Escort Cossie ftw though or RS500 Sierra or RS200 rally monster
  9. I use rope to hold it on the ground.. It isn't that light. I've seen an EP at 693kg, fuck knows how they managed that, although it was a soleil body. I can only now save weight on the internal structure and the fuel tank. I've noticed with the Buddy Clubs that the steering is lighter and more responsive but the understeer is worse, I'll try and sort that with the camber kit. Will upload a rather toss video from tonight (car was cold at the start) the position is now perfect, just see the towing eye top of shot though. more pics of TDI also here: Nice Evo with some trick bits and R888 rub
  10. Well I've ordered my camber bolts (H&R) and bought a digital camber gauge so I can adjust the camber/castor whilst at the track Will sort out the vids soon. I'm not happy with the cam position so need to fix that!
  11. Mine are Ask Sport, but I suspect similar to SARD...and yup, visibility isn't great but they're not really there to serve a purpose on a track car The Craft Squares though, I can practically see the back of my head with them they're that panoramic.
  12. brakes are next week now it seems..useless fuckers. Managed to get a few vids from the bullet cam in the front bumper also, will add to youtube although it destroys the quality...might host them somewhere myself.
  13. On that Supes, the brakes all round were Greddy, 8 pots on the front, 4pots on the rear. Front disks were 350mm. Adam's R32 GTR has 350mm Endless on the front, he says they're shit when cold and woble like fuck braking down from 150+ loves them though Talking of brakes, I hope HiSpec (beginning to be un-impressed with their service) have finally made my bells for the weekend or I'll be opening up a whole six pack of whupass.
  14. Forgot to say, the evo in the shot had no engine in it, they were building it for race. The supra lump on the floor (awesome awesome thing) was a genuine HKS 3.4ltr stroker...you're looking at the business end of 1000hp right there
  15. Strip it out..you know it makes sense I was impressed I managed to save 64kg from the last TDi session. Still more to do though. Anyone know of an EP with a fuel cell in the boot? want to know how it's set up with all the return lines etc..and obviously I'd need a plumbed in fire extinguisher (burning to death ranks highly on my things not to do before I die list)
  16. I do talk a fair amount of shit at times it's true TDi always have sex cars there...I have a few more pics if you want me to post em up? an Evo 8 FQ 330 running r888s and the turbo'd nsx race car. Si...don't cheat me hp per tonne is based on fw hp: Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 323.72 I still need to lighten the car further but have run out of time before the trip! going to fit a fuel cell, remove the spare wheel recess amongst other things. Plus I may fit the JAM bonnet I've got if it's lighter
  17. 1880kg? please tell me raje that ISN'T an EP If so, you must have some serious ICE innit? I think the jag weighs that. Si, I've entered a pic for pic of the month...I took your advice last time and got destroyed by Enzo with his stunning 91. I'll only change it if more people think the TDi shot is better. Forgot to say, while I was there, paying...talking to Sam. Two very young lads (about 18?) came in with caps, tracksuits...etc. They saw the EP and said something like: 1: 'that roof vent makes that car look phat' 2: 'yeah check all those gauges and clocks that's sick' 1: 'I bet that's f
  18. The craft squares are made to order and cost around £300 shipped new lot of cash but the quality is unbelievable. I do genuinely love TDi, they aren't cheap but they set the car up exactly as you want it..I said I wanted the car to rape all other road users and that's what they've done. Ride height is 57mm front, 58.5 rear. I just need to get some camber bolts to get the camber out to -2 or deg on the fronts, it should pull 1.5G in the corners with that setup
  19. I've got no hope after being destroyed by Enzo last month...but I'll enter again
  20. The view from the craft squares is awesome especially with the convex lenses they also only weigh 155g a side! I love TDi..they make me moist with their suspension skillz.
  21. Maybe a future product then Toby? WhiteLine stuff is utter shit (sorry if it's a product you sell..but it is). They're the race spec coilovers so I was surprised myself that they only went to that level. Unless the top mounts have been replaced (they're rebuilt before I shipped them) hmmmm... H&R do a camber bolt set (thanks to Riko for that info), I think this'll solve the problem temporarily but ideally I'd want a custom lower arm, that way I get a wider track at the same time as fixing the camber. Do you do a wide arch kit for the EP or should I make some up Any solutions appreciate
  22. Hi there, After a trip to TDi yesterday, the Buddy Clubs camber was maxed out at just below 1deg. I ideally want to run 2-3 deg on the fronts to aid handling on track. The only way I can think of to do this is extend the lower arms to push the suspension out. Is there another way? What adjustable lower arms are available and from whom/cost? Mark
  23. If I have my way it'll be a driving lover...if the wife has her way it'll love shopping and handbags (regardless of gender :S )
