  1. Well I haven't bought the acrylic yet...but expect a loads of pics when I get on the case...the headlights also are proving to be 'interesting' bleh. I'm waiting for a pic of the crazy exhaust James has fitted Mart, Jap Performance etc (don't read mags much) won't touch the EP as it's not an ICED up piece of shit show pony (apologies for anyone on here who's been featured )
  2. It adds to the fun...I'll destroy you all with my skillz. Now come on James, MR2 owners can't drive and you and Lee have a weight disadvantage (controversial)
  3. I know I know...but while it's in bits and James has an ally fabricator it's a shame not to make the most of it. I've only bought a race fuel cap, to go with the fuel cell in the boot...and the external fuel pump..oh and the acrylic door cards...oh dear. That's it though. No wait...there's the new headlights I'm making...but that really is it
  4. Hey Rick, you're on here...get your name down. Enzo is correct, I don't mean the wanky TGTT pissflap forum, I mean Toyota GT, the tuning shop over in WinchField Come on Enzo, it's a bit of practice before the 'ring next year!
  5. On December 20th Toyota GT are organising a karting event at the track in Milton Keynes...ideally we'd need a team of 5 EP drivers. I'm one The event is going to run as teams, the teams are Supra, MR2, Celica and Starlet. Anyone with mad karting skillz...we need you to kick some ass and show everyone that the baby of the Toyota group can hold its own If you put your name down, you'll be expected to pay £35 deposit in the next week or two..so definites only please. Total cost is £70 for the evening with practice sessions and a 40 min track session. 1) nightSpirit (Mark RS - EP82) 2) 3) 4) 5)
  6. Damn James! You beat me to it...I will post in the events section mate Will call later as I've bought some more 'things'
  7. Holy crap....James is that you? or Lee? Whoever it is, nice work there! And everyone, welcome the chaps at ToyotaGT to the forum VBoi, the rad isn't expensive mate, to be honest with you as I said..I doubt very much it's a proper Yashio Factory item. I think it's just been painted pink. The temps are lower though so not 100% certain it's stock.
  8. I WILL win We've already got a custom flange made up
  9. That's a 3S block in the background there...we were using it to steady the car when it was up on the ramps pink rad is up for sale, bit tatty and tbh, I 'doubt' it's a Yashio item...it did however keep the temps below 90deg on track....hmmmmm. The exhaust James is building is savage, end of story. Not going into details but it's SILLY lol
  10. Anyone got an EP82 door card I can borrow...just to make a template from? will get some acrylic door cards made up from it
  11. Hi Si, The car's at Toyota GT in WinchField at the moment...doesn't look likely I'll get it back before the new year now (no rush). I'm considering making up some door cards in acrylic, need a spare door card maybe?
  12. Update...all looking a bit 'serious'
  13. Gland is still for sale....offers around 3k now. Might bring that good idea Rob
  14. I'll be there chaps...aslong as the ep is finished in time...got a fair bit to do. Might just bring the Jag for comfy manlove
  15. Those leads ok mate?
  16. It's like a disease... Si 348hp per tonne if I keep the same power and get it down to 700kg...who knows if I hike the power up.
  17. Well I whipped out the catch can this weekend and ran the filter to the drivers side area, saving 1.14kg...also with the N1 exhaust gone, that's 13kg saved! James is waiting on a flange being made for the downpipe then he's going to make the exhaust. Keep finding extra things to do, I've also bought an alloy racing radiator from an EK Civic to fit on the car, we're making up a custom shrowd for the fan to make it efficient. If I get chance in the next few weeks we'll get the fuel tank out and measure up for the cell. The next time the EP hits the road it should be a very different beast (again) lol One day I'll leave it alone and just drive it...
  18. Look forward to it Si Already one step ahead of you...floor pan is coming out, making way for a fuel cell in the boot..which is going to fit the stock pump another thing we're thinking of offering in the future (although that'd be quite a specialist thing) Removing the catch tank, water bottle (bag replacement...maybe), spare metal in the car, fuel tank it should all add up. Got friends visiting this weekend with their TT Supes so we're heading over to have the plugs done...it's an excuse for me to maybe whip the fuel tank out (not much else i can do as my mig welding skillz are wank)
  19. Cheers Driver Glad the car makes you happy When I get the car back Si, I'll give you a shout and we can hug in a manly fashion down the pub... The exhaust weighs 12kg or something. We're 35kg from breaking 700kg barrier
  20. Another update Today I got chance to take the car over to James and the guys at Toyota GT. I've known James a while now and last time we met we shared a few ideas for the car...and with the manifold sporting more cracks than Tom Cruise's marriage it seemed a good time to visit Apart from the manifold, there are plans afoot for a custom downpipe, exhaust, fuel tank and shaving weight off the car to bring it down to the 700kg mark...Hilarious comments and photos below James weighing the car with one hand State of the art invisible exhaust Taking the weight saving a bit too seriously The EP crying when she heard she was fat What have we here? This looks familiar... Can it be? yes...it's my old MR2 (James bought the car from me) Invisible turbo inlet side Enough with the invisible joke... I've not seen a crack like that since Jade Goodie bent over The old downpipe
  21. AWESOME that's my saturday morning sorted
  22. Si you can run down the street after me anytime lol You're more than welcome to come over our way for beer also, I'll buy. Enzo, you crazy man....I may do the alps again, but trailer car there then drive it round the passes..it's a long ass trek though and turns a 3-4 day event into a week
  23. Sorry Enzo! Yup the plan is rent a van. It'll be cheaper than driving the EP (and more comfy) plus the car only gets used on the track and we can fill the van with spares (if you chip in with the rental ). Next on the list: Cut out interior metal not needed Remove wheel recess Build Alloy fuel cell in boot Build custom shifter mount Fix manifold and heat coat it Fit 550cc injectors and run CRAZY boost (or a bit more...hopefully the EP agrees).
  24. cheers Si, The bloody skirts have come away from the fenders (tiger seal...epic fail) so will revisit that solution at the weekend. Otherwise it's all good. The LiveSports weigh 1.5kg, next to 3.25kg for the stock items with lardy plastic bits.
  25. Cheers again guys...comments much appreciated...here's an update Enzo mate..what's your plans?? Firstly, the LiveSport fenders, are a sod to fit (because they don't) and for some bizarre reason, the bodyshop in Japan got all patriotic when they worked on the top vents and built a scale model of Mount Fuji out of filler on the backs....doh. Whilst removing this 'art' I got carried away with the power tools and went through one fender, queue some mad frp skillz. Check out the no expense spent bodywork fixing tools (yes a hammer held in place with a wheelie bin) Because...in the words of a good friend of mine, Adam, 'arch lining is for queers' Ok so that's the good stuff, the car now weighs 4kg less, no longer rubs the tyres when I corner at speed and looks more agressive. I also swapped a dodgy o-ring on the Buddy Clubs. The bad news is that the legendary HRF manifold is cracked hoping it's a simple fix...so watch this space. The car is due to go to 3S Services in Hook to see top man James for some fettling that will now include manifold elastoplat.
