  1. Yup I've liked these for a long time too, very understated package. Ofcourse I still have the matt black GT...and the Jag (which the wife now has as the Glanza went). The GT is taking a back seat at the moment as it needs about 800 quid of fueling and mapping doing and at the moment, with the shit weather...I just can't be arsed It's funny but Scenics/Caldins/Zafira/Spaz Bus etc etc I would NEVER buy...because they're utter shite and are sold by praying on a new families worry that they need safe/practical/room and all that crap. The r32 has all of that plus I can take it round the 'ring wh
  2. Some better pics, trying to show the colour.. See...it also has good mpg. I managed 32.4mpg on the motorway on the way home from the garage...when you floor it though it goes into minus numbers. Plan is to leave it standard, enjoy it..maybe some rims at some point, BDC CDA...Miltek, remap
  3. Well, I wanted Black...but the wife didn't like it...she liked the pearl blue, I didn't. Then this one turned up (the first one we drove).
  4. The rules from the wife were simple...it had to have 5 doors, it had to be safe and had to be reliable. I think next time she'll think of a few more rules like 'mpg' and 'less than 200hp' when we look at family cars I know these aren't to everyone's taste (mainly because they've never driven one) but I've fancied one of these since the 2002 motor show in Birmingham. Picked it up today at a cost of 10k. Not bad for a 1 owner, full history car with 59k on the clock in indigo blue (only 59 made). So far it's rather good fun with the ESP in the wet, feeling the car kick out at a roundab
  5. cheers again. I remember before we had Maya, anyone talking of their kids..I'd be 'yadda yadda...' lol. I'll post some pics up of the family wagon later, it's 5 door, lots of airbags...nice and safe. Anyone who knows what it is, don't spoil it
  6. Rick Again thanks for the words, we're both so inlove with her it's untrue (how gay do I sound?). I'm waiting for her feet to grow so I can get some nice alpine stars on there ready for the track I pick up the family wagon tomorrow aswell! yay!
  7. wow guys, thanks for all the kind words I'm going to try and sleep now (first time in 3 days)
  8. To be honest my whole world has been put on its head. Going from thinking about whether I wanted kids etc to being wrapped round her tiny finger The new family car will provide some fun (more details soon..nothing too impressive) but I'm hoping to hang up the spanners a bit when the EP is back and finished off. I'm finding less and less time these days to do anything at all, no idea how I found the time to do what I did on it already!
  9. Born sunday night at 6.58pm. As I type this, she's sleeping next to me, just over 1 day old. For anyone with kids, you'll know what I'm talking about when I say that seeing your child look at you with eyes viewing the world for the first time, touches you in a way you just can't describe For anyone about to have a child, it's true what they say...lifechanging from the first moment. Mum is fine, I'm KNACKERED but loving this little person. Hopefully I'll be back with manly car things soon..grr etc.
  10. Cheers chaps, Hopefully have a better update soon
  11. To be honest Mart, the trackstar has been abandoned with work and family commitments...I'll get back on the case soon. Si, the door cards will go on when I get the car back, just need pot rivetting in place. Easy to make up and only weigh 1kg a side (adding weight I know).
  12. Cheers Si, The first two shots (very boring) are the polypropelene door cards I've made to hide the big gaps where door lining used to be...me just being tidy. I've wanted a bov on the car, not for any noise, couldn't give a toss about that, but as the boost goes up, especially if driven hard on the track I want to reduce lag and turbo wear.
  13. Nope...not much more I can do without going silly and grinding off bolts etc. Some little pics for you, not much else to report, it'll be a while till she's running again.
  14. Hehe... I think the car has a few 'firsts' so you can let me off on the bike can :harhar:
  15. Sorry for the late late response...not been on here for a long time. The EP is still off the road waiting for FPR, 044 pump, filter and lines. Then it should be good to drive. The car is now around 700kg fully wet, if the power doesn't increase with the bigger injectors etc it's still over 350 per tonne. The bodyworks rear wing is great fun but a bit heavy...I paid a fair few quid to get it here. More update soon when I get a version of Photoplop to mod the images in.
  16. yies..drifter types, you know the ones
  17. If all the drifter types were on the track the day before...that might explain the oil Drifting ftl
  18. They run it every year so not to worry. Proper petrol heads event I was routing for Mattius Ekstrom have to say, that guy is gifted. Damn Scandinavians!
  19. No probs, We were row 26 in block C...about 6 rows from the front? Focus WRC with anti lag always gives me wood
  20. Evening all, Just got back from this...bloody freezing. My wife, bless her bought us tickets yesterday morning! Good fun it was, Loeb beat Coulthard to take the title. Lots of petrol antics, my conclusing the KTM X-Bow is crap lol. Very very quiet car (but quick) with massive understeer on the twisties. Every race one got stacked...fair play, the barriers came off worst each time. Lewis was there swanning around in the SLR along with other crazy people doing insane car trickz. Piccies below.
  21. cheers abbot I noticed that too...it's not actually attached to anything! I've ordered the fuel cell now, so that will be the next job (after the door cards)
  22. Evening all, I'm struggling to make the template for the carbon / acrylic door cards on the trackstar. Can someone in the Surrey/Dorking area let me use one or buy one? If you can help out...much appreciated, might even get you a discount on the CF door cards Mark
  23. Looking 'fab' I'm going to sort these headlights today ;) Hopefully see you next weekend James? will be able to start on the tank then and fit the headlight/cards.
