Shelly, Honestly...I run the Glanza every single day on the cheapest fuel there is...like tesco 95 ron regular unleaded. If you wear a pair of det cans, there's very little knock going on even under full load. So I say, you're safe to use it. Only use the good stuff if you're running higher boost etc as above...just hate to see people waste money

good lad....save yourself some cash. I have a friend who works for Shell Oil, even he admits that the high octane fuels are pretty useless unless a car is modified. I think it's a placebo effect, put in place by petrol companies...'use our fuel, your car will be faster'. Anyone see the fifth gear fuel test video done at thor motorsport? only a tuned Impreza made any gains on BP ultimate

lol everyone ignores my comment... YOU DON'T NEED V-POWER OR ANYTHING OVER 95 RON ON A STOCK EP82/91

Or me TinTin..been in the game over 6 years now

man that sucks, was it a glanza by any chance? they seem impossible to bump start...left sidelights on last week, did the same thing....wouldn't bump. But £70 that stings for £90 you could have got a nice varley red top battery and saved yourself about 11kg in weight!

Calm down people.... Jap fuel is a higher ron yes, at the end of the day engines perform best when using fuel with the octane rating they were designed for...but a stock EP82/EP91 won't be able to take advantage of the higher octane benefits really...so running a stock EP on pump gas (95 ron) is fine. I ran my EP82 a few years back on that, no problems, we've run the glanza V on 95 ron for over a year and no problems. A short lesson in fuel and research octane numbers (ron) courtesy of me ) so who is ron? ron is a measurement of how resistant gasoline is to premature detonation (the dreade

Saxo VTR/VTS Better than Gt's and Glanza's?
NightSpirit replied to Marc's topic in Lifestyle General
yup, the innocence of youth... Fancied an ultima for years, kind of decided that rather than slowly progressing up the performance ladder with different crafts, I'll just go straight for the top. I remember when I owned a Corsa GSI about 10-12 years ago now, bought it new...thought it was amazing, then had a run in with a T5 volvo...actually thought I'd beat him, he just waved as he vanished into the distance ah well -
Saxo VTR/VTS Better than Gt's and Glanza's?

I came to the rather sad conclusion some years ago that there will always be someone who can outdrive me, outhandle me and out accelerate me...no matter what you drive there will always be a situation when you lose. As long as you win some of the time Now, when I get my arse in gear and start my Ultima GTR build....then and only then will I destroy everything. period. -
don't know why I just posted that there...I think I'm losing my mind.

Drove the trackstar last night...in the shit cold weather. The temp in the car was 6 deg lol! awesome. Put my foot down (not floored) in third whilst doing 80 mph, turbo span to 1.2bar and just lit the front wheels up arse

So Mikey...or should I call you Jojo...which personality are you bringing to the pub next week? Is that a wig?

fecking Hell Riko....easy on the word count there mate! Each to their own at the end of the day, real world driving is where it counts... I agree with Rick again though on his point about the D2s....utter toss, like Whiteline gear, cheapo shite. Speaking from experience ofcourse -
I'll take on the Levinator

ah ok, I guess it's just personal preference, I prefer the dynapack style computer controlled RR to the old water/weight resistance RR where you strap the car down...they always seem to work harder Here's a vid of my old SW20 blowing a coolant hose at 155.3mph on the ChipWizards dyno oop north. Incidentally, the car hit 380hp when the hose blew...arse.

Real world driving is very different to what the stats say on paper...driver etc comes into it a lot. If you get two similar cars, it's anyones guess as to who will win imo. I have to agree that stock the Glanza (more so than the GT) handles like the suspension is made from the centre of a cadburys cream egg. There's a road I travel every day here to work, lots of twisty turns...I regularly get whupped by allsorts (and no it's not because I'm an old git and can't drive) when driving the glanza...just don't have the confidence or the driver involvement in the corners to push it hard safely. Are they a rolling road...old school or dynapak?

Trackstar build..the next exciting update :)

Lobotomy, no we didn't! looked pretty cool when we first started the car and let the Power FC learn the basics...all smoking away Just had enough of the wrap (bought 30') to do the manifold, downpipe and wastegate pipe. Good job as the EGT were reaching around 900 at xxx on the motorway. Mark -
Hehe, I did cut the rear screen tint into 3, following the lines of the heat bars...and I did use a heatgun, it's impossible otherwise...trust me To be fair, it's worth the money to get it done right, and as Glanza Ragger said, it's not my job tinting but I don't mind helping people out if it saves em a few quid (tinting by a pro is a rip off imo)
-
I just buy tint off Ebay..forget the seller now but it's not expensive. I'm very happy to tint your rear 1/4s and even front windows...not so keen on the rear screen though as it's really easy to get contaminents in there while you're doing it. Why not try it yourself? it's the only way to learn these things

What...you mean you don't? It's a new olympic event didn't you know...animal licking. It's almost as popular as sand wanking.

The food is pretty good...I enjoy it anyway. The portions are pretty good too. I never need an excuse to eat so I'm in.
