  1. Those rims...are Enkei Racing ES-Tarmac jobbies.... They're aluminium, single piece and designed for competition use (rally). Quite a few sets in Japan, they're a few years old now. I'm sad I know these things
  2. Say hello to the old NightSpirit demo car She ended up being sold for 8k complete to another garage who stripped her down for parts.
  3. That wing was the Phoenix Power Type 1 wing....looked good in the flesh from certain angles (not side on)
  4. Sadly those shots were from Jap Performance mag....it had a few tweaks after that time, will try and upload it before it got sold and stripped for parts! by the way, they have SHOCKING resale value.
  5. Also, revision 1-2 smaller brakes, no suspension mods, 220hp as standard (in reality around 200hp) revision 3-5 larger brakes, suspension improvements, 245hp as standard (in reality around 220hp) There were other changes, mainly cosmetic. Pick of the bunch would be a rev3 or if money allowed a rev 5. Tuning wise, unless you rebuild the engine: rev 1-2 turbo is CT26, larger than rev3 turbo but less efficient ~17psi is the limit...should see around 280hp rev 3-5 turbo is CT20B, smaller, more efficient ~18psi is the limit, should see around 300-310hp. Hope that helps you
  6. Sl8ter, I used to own an MR2 Turbo, revision 1 standard when I bought it...very quick car out of the box whole different league to the EP. In standard guise it would get tail happy in the wet if you pushed it with nasty snap oversteer (due to it being MR layout). But once modified it gripped beyond belief. My car ended up running 380.3hp at the wheels with 303 lb/ft torque and nothing I ever met on the road could keep up and a fair few tried. Great car. Here's a few pics of 'the beast' http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/garage.php?mo...p;image_id=3125 http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/garage.php?mo
  7. If these are anything like the TRD shifters for the SW20, it's just a shortened shift bar...save yourself 120 quid and just get a decent welder to cut a length off the shifter bar. It's the same thing. Well done for winning at Bingo and well done for admitting you go to bingo and you're under the age of 75!
  8. We gave the poor old car some stick but it wasn't made for those roads...especially when the brakes started to fade badly and there are NO barriers on the way down so instant death if you go over. It'll be a different story if I do the trip in the EP, get those Outlaw 4 pots nice and warm
  9. Cheers guys, We're on our first anniversary...I was driving to meet the wife in Venice. The tarmac was very even and smooth along the whole route, even the old road that was cobbled was smooth. I reckon in the new year a trip should be on the cards? Anyone would be welcome to come along but it's a fair old drive to get there. Maybe drive to the Alps for a bit of skiing/boarding then drive some more. Cost wise it's not that bad really, fuel was arond 1.7 CHF which is about 70p a litre Would anyone be up for a group drive?
  10. Took a little trip to Europe over the weekend, from Dover to Venice via the Alps and some of the greatest roads ever built. Coming out of Thun on the road to Locarno in Italy you are faced with the Alps. Taking you over them is the Grimsall Pass, Firka Pass and the St Gotthard Pass (old road). Every single corner just made my jaw drop. By the end of the Gotthard pass we had to stop as the poor front brakes had caught fire hardcore... Needless to say when the EP is finished, we'll be doing the trip again ;) Our noble steed, never put a foot wrong even when the brakes were alight. Headi
  11. shit... this wasn't a for sale thread No idea mate, will have to wait a good month or so anyway till I work out what is happening. Back on topic, the N1 looks identical to the HKS above pretty much. Can we not get a sound recording of each exhaust? if we set some guidelines?....like startup sound, idle sound and single rev to xxxx sound? I'd be interested in that. A dumpvalve sound recording thread would also be good ;)
  12. Forgot I've got an N1 Apex-i on the EP82 that's coming over Going to sell both systems as I'm having the exhaust exiting the passenger side front.
  13. If you wanted to sound truly gay you should have said 'show me your hot hard pipes lads' That would have done it. I'll get a picture of my filthy Nurspec later if I get time
  14. DOH! Yup 4 wires only, it has 2 more terminated in a plug...guessing that's the optional shift light ;)
  15. Got 5 wires on it, black < earth red < live or perm live? orange < live? green < rev signal Anyone got one of these beasts....or have an idea how to fit one ;)
  16. Yup, and not too hard to achieve took about 1 hour all in to do. Cheers guys
  17. Some more updatedness... Finished the fuse box area, the car starts still which is good. Decided to remove the gay alarm (it's not gay, it's just wired in gay) so gotta finish that off....bloody cat 1. But anyway...piccys, flocktastic.
  18. Basically, Yeah lol Behind the dash from the glovebox is the heater matrix, but behind the center console is the heater control main bit (technical aren't I) you'll need to remove that too to get to the deadening and all that gay carpeting.
  19. Yeah bit of a relief I've finished the fuse box now and rewrapped it all. One more check to see she runs then I can tidy up the interior. Riko, to get to that sound matting easily the dash has to come out yes! If you've ditched the heater system it's possible to get to most of it but still hard work. It should be ok for MOT still aswell
  20. We've had this discussion I think...passenger side is legal also, look at the Transit van Hoping to be ready to bind up the loom this weekend! Update time ;) Check out the Dremel action on that binnacle pod....
  21. Well if only trace the redundant plugs to their source and remove them there...they shouldn't affect anything else. Also if the plug source connects to something else that then only has 1 wire etc...that's safe to remove aswell, kind of work it that way. I still have about 10 wires going to the front fuse box that need removing from the plug in the box and I also have 2 wires going to the ECU plugs that are redundant too o_0
  22. Well last night I got a few minutes spare to plug in the speedo, the various connects and earths and attempt to fire the car up....hey presto, she's alive ;)
  23. I used to run a straight through pipe on my MR2 for a while....that thing was LOUD. It should be piss to get the exhaust coming out the passenger side ;)
