  1. good evening grandson 2.5k landed hey? at 180k? you should have asked me lol! Yup, you're right, the pistons are stock, no forgies, metal gasket and that's all he said on it. We'll see what it's like and get it tested when it drops
  2. TDI at Thurrock (south) nice chaps....and reasonably priced I thought. Si, the N1 is for sale yes, although I'd need a stock exhaust to replace it with?
  3. Just back from TDI They couldn't do a vast ammount as the rear isn't adjustable and the front just needed a toe-in adjustment. Good news is the car weighs 811kg fully wet, so even stock that's a power to weight of 166bhp per tonne! just think that if the 300hp engine is dropped in there, that'll rocket to 375 per tonne, zonda bashing anyone lol
  4. Yup that's the plan! I'm off to TDI tomorrow to get the car corner weighed and setup so I'll update when I get back (if it's good obviously) lol
  5. hehe, Well we now have 3 EP's...including this one. There've been a few modified cars going through recently but they all go for too much money, nearly bought a different one for a friend of mine.
  6. Why didn't you? if I may ask...I was the only bidder.
  7. Lol...does nobody read signatures these days I run a business importing cars and parts from Japan mate, not my main line of work but it's fun! As for the spec, well it was a bit sketchy but here's a few details: TD05-16G with 18G exhaust housing, tubi manifold, wastegate, Apex-i N1 muffler 75k on the clock but rebuilt 12k ago with new pistons and metal gasket JIC coilovers on the front and Tein HA on the rear, Endless discs and pads, Various gauges including AF, water temp... Power FC (no commander) OS Gilken twin plate clutch 410cc injectors Blitz fuel pump Weds TC-05 rims aftermarket ve
  8. Importing this from Yahoo, the plan is ( I hope ) to use it as a donor for the track ep. Taking the engine, gearbox, clutch, fuelpump, turbo, power fc, gauges etc. The car will be sold on as stock afterwards and the rest of the parts put up for sale...will know more as time progresses. Some pics (some of you may have seen it on Yahoo).
  9. I'm touched guys ;) Thanks very much for the offers....the thought counts and all that! I've bought one (well traded against a power fc) from a chap on toyota gt so hopefully I'm sorted
  10. Need to get this car through the mot, borrow would be better but I could buy one...last offer was a waste of time anyone near surrey area?
  11. Ah I see...and now I'm reading about 550cc injectors to get some decent power...I have a set of 440cc and a set of 410cc...doh. Lag monster, but good for bigger power, see I want 0 lag and 300hp But saying that, I ran a T67-25G on my MR2 and everyone said 'ooh lag city' etc etc, but then I pointed out I had anti-lag (it's called a gearbox) and that driving in in the correct rev range meant little lag and lots of tyre shredding fun?
  12. Correct me if I'm over simplifying things here... But your alarm don't work, you've got one key...why need another? I only have one on my car, only got one for all the cars I own. If the alarm is broken, it's not going to 'work' when a chipped key is used. I'd just rip out the alarm, get a sigma cat 1 or similar fitted and let the auto elec sort it out as that controls central locking etc. I'd say the important bit is thinking seriously about why you want to keep the car and why you fell out with it...and what you'd replace it with. I bought this ep I drive now, specifically to be a track
  13. What sort of power are these good for...much lag?
  14. stop the press... I may have got my hands on a 'special' car to use as a donor More info soon methinks!
  15. I think it'll be fine...been doing this sort of stuff for years so I'm speaking from experience
  16. 1.8 bar...now that's just silly Gaz, don't forget my air filter is mounted through the rad/bumper and that's what gave me the noise more than anything else.
  17. Riko, Found a full Sera engine for 300 quid, presuming that's the correct 5e lump....does the 4efte gearbox fit with the 5e flywheel and clutch, need to change the driveshafts or anything? and what's custom about the rods? cheers
  18. Cheers Gee, Well I'm future proofing...aiming for 250-300hp (any more and it'll just spin on the spot) so I'm trying to find a fuel pump that'll flow me enough for that! Mark
  19. Stock turbo Gaz....and stock boost. If it ran higher boost it'd only get sexier lol
  20. It's a simple job to remove the speedo and fit the mph sticker (I used a dyno letter printer)... Get yourself a Power FC to remove the speed cut properly lol
  21. Cheers for that! Worth doing? or should I stick to the 4EFTE and make it bullet proof. (Don't fancy the 5e clutch and flywheel as I have a twin plate OS clutch for the car!)
  22. As per the title...will a 2JZ-GTE fuel pump from a JZA80 TT Supra fit to the starlet...what mods are needed...and what power will it be good to flow to?
  23. off topic slightly, but am I right in thinking that a fuel pump that can flow 255ltr an hour etc will only flow that if asked to, so you could drop one in tank and it would happily continue on the stock ECU to provide the right fuel? Obviously it's a different story with the injectors... Should be piss to fit on my car as the interior is all gone and I never looked what was under that black plate
  24. Just looking into this at present. I'm trying to build a reliable, 250-300hp EP to make the most of the suspension and brake setup on the car. What I'm thinking is the following: 5E block (does this mate to the 4e bottom end or do I need a 5e crank case aswell?) forged pistons to fit the 5E block (what size? anyone know?) ported head (will 4e fit on 5e, or should I use the whole 5E lump...bearing in mind I want easy modding) balanced crank uprated rods some lairy cams (anyone know best duration? for good allround power) possibly valves and valve springs etc. K24-26 turbo setup My main thin
