As the paintwork on the EP is so poor, it's more 'spot the paint' than 'spot the stonechip' I'm thinking of giving it a respray. Outside the house using spray cans my first thought was matt black, but a friend suggested lime green....what do you chaps reckon? Not paying for a full spray as it's only going to get smacked on the track anyway.

Knocking from front nearside suspension?
NightSpirit replied to NightSpirit's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Cool... The TRD Coilovers are being collected tomorrow from the docks ;) so when the EP82 has them on there, worse case scenario I can whip the stock fronts onto the EP91 -
Knocking from front nearside suspension?
NightSpirit replied to NightSpirit's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Will check this weekend, Will the suspension from the ep82 fit on the ep91? -
Anyone any more info on this? Nobody on the other forum was forthcoming. Someone suggested the 'hip socket' style attachment is OEM on later spec Ep's is this so?
-
Noticed this on the wife's Glanza the other day...going over bumps in the road etc a knocking sound coming from the front nearside suspension area. Upon further investigation it's definitely in that area, if I put my weight on the top of the front wing around the suspension area it knocks each time. Without me taking it apart what's the most likely culprit and cure to this? ;)

was with SwiftCover.com, all online, you even print out your own certificate via PDF...which was odd. Ins Grp 15 on the Jag by the way. -

Don't abuse your elders... Well, an update. I collected the 'wafter' last night and promptly wafted home. The mpg said 28.9 which wasn't bad, but that was with the engine off and Jeeves my small Philapino boy servant pushing the car. It's an awesome car though, you get out more relaxed and chilled than when you got in. Also the best bit was the insurance, 342 quid fully comp with protected ncd and a speeding fine declared...bonus. It seems that owning a panama hat and playing bowls goes down well with the underwriters. -

My mums a pensioner and she wants another turbo car (the ST205 isn't quick enough for her!!) some silver surfers can drive Sorry Ecks, don't want to start an argument here (I do own an EP aswell you know ;) ) but the EP isn't good at speed unless it's running way over 200hp. If I meet any of you on the motorway round the M25...we'll have to find out won't we? There's no replacement for displacement... -

I had to sell the weekend craft to buy it though And I'm pretty certain that the jag on a hill or on the motorway would hand most ep's asses back to them on a plate ;) I remember 7 years ago now when I had my first ep...bloody 2ltr laguna's and 406 were the bain of my life back then....no grunt from a 1.3. -

Just bought myself a monicle...always liked the Patrick Moore look ever since GamesMaster. I did want the car, the book price is £6400 on it so I've done well and with 241hp (forget the fact it weighs more than the isle of mann) it shifts quite well for a giffer mobile. I'll think of you all driving your little tiny cars as I whaft past in climate controlled luxury...buahahahahahhaa Sorry about that, don't know what came over me ;) -
why thankyou ;)

Can you identify the brand of locking wheel nut?
NightSpirit replied to NightSpirit's topic in Lifestyle General
ah cool ;) Where could I get the key/nut from? -
I wouldn't believe everything you read on tgt.... Synth motor oil can flow from -30deg upto ~200deg C. All depends on the viscocity rating of the oil you use for it's min and max temps. ;)
-
Bear in mind that oil aint water... Acceptable temps for oil are higher than you'd think, the MR2 was running at peak with those figures...all day long. I'm no oil expert though, just personal experience of several cars with and without coolers.
