  1. I was meaning where in the UK to get some decent rear discs and pads and braided lines for the stock setup Some sellers on Yahoo are having a right laugh with their prices when they first list. I recall a guy selling a top spec JUN engine for the SW20 for 1million yen which is cheap for what it is, but it's still on there now (9 months later) for less than half that. Problem I tell people all the time, if you really want a part, pay the price as if the item doesn't sell either the seller doesn't relist and sells elsewhere or they lower the price and you get outbid lol.
  2. I don't see how a part listed by the manufacturer at 96k can be had for less unless they're used...or bought in bulk. By taking the plunge do you mean the cost? I'm not too impressed with the price but the guy wouldn't drop them (they originally were at 100k) and there's been nothing else on there brake related sadly To put things into perspective though, I've just imported a set of Endless 6 pots for R32 with 350mm discs and they cost over £1100. MR2 nut...hehe, I used to be, my 2 (which is STILL for sale...damn thing) is sat on the drive, not driven since before christmas. I coul
  3. Hmm...never heard of them, but bear in mind the EP isn't my number one area of skill, that's the MR2. When I last owned an EP82 most of you were still in nappies Looking at the site, unless my eyes are missing something (probarbly) the R32 brake kit is 96k and mods are needed? So the Outlaw are still cheaper dood.
  4. Ah cool Si, I think if I just upgrade the lines, discs and pads on the rear that'll more than suffice. Who's Zep Ecks? Are they branded etc? as these are Endless pads and Endless discs....not cheap unfortunately but very very good.
  5. That's interesting They cost me £600 delivered, but hey...that's my side business so I get it less. I weighed up the cost of other brakes and buying new bits and it worked out the cheapest option.
  6. As the project is sat on the drive, not road legal...the brakes have turned to dust with the shit weather so I need to replace all round really. I've just got these for the fronts, 275mm discs with 4 pot calipers and Endless NA-A pads. They've been on the yahoo auctions for ages, months infact so I decided to take the plunge when the seller relisted yesterday! My question(s) is: With these on the front will 15" rims still fit or will I have to go to 16s...and has anyone put the front brakes onto the rear? waht was involved and would you need a brake bias adjuster?
  7. Was going to say, if you're local to Surrey, pop over and sit in it
  8. Weight or price? weight is about 5kg. The price is http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/Pro...code=COBIMOLATB there...£800 To sit in it's bloody comfortable and looks the nuts Enzo, you have a cage and the rear seat is still there? are you mad...get it stripped to the bare minimum including the passenger seat If the car is a daily driver then this is maybe too extreme but if you're fortunate enough to own about 87 cars like me you can do without things like a/c and heaters. lol
  9. Thanking you young sir I swapped 2 brand new 18" Advan RG rims for the seat which was brand new ;) weighs less than a gnats chuff
  10. I'm waiting on the Safety 21 cage, that should improve the track look ;) then I'm hoping a set of Takata harnesses, some subtle tints (no sun visors) and that should be the inside ready to rock and roll.
  11. On stock rails ;) http://www.night-spirit.co.uk/blog/
  12. Silicon and alu piping with a few bits and bobs thrown in Hoping I get the windscreen done this week maybe (bastards) then fab up the subframe for the seat (getting there) and then fit my custom centre panel and bits so I can drive the thing in anger again.
  13. I must have been lucky then, I also placed the inlet feed in the back of the filter which might have helped...no boost creep for me
  14. I thought as much... Angle grinder it is then. If I remove the stock frame pieces and drill a few holes to mount the seat it should work (in my head)
  15. Consulting the Hyper Rev bible...and a few EPs in there have the top pipe shielded (can't see the bottom one I admit) I could do both, it'll help cooling anyway.
  16. I'm in the process of heat shielding my pipework and wondering which pipe top or bottom from the rad is the one flowing back to the engine?
  17. Got my spanky bucket seat...but the side mount fixings obviously don't fit the ep because of the floor pan layout...and I don't wanna hack it. So is there an aftermarket off the shelf subframe for buckets on the ep? Or Do I just modify the stock subframe to take the seat which should be easy to do.
  18. thats all well and good...but can it be done using the stock pipe? Dave how did you manage it as I'll do the job and sort it anyway
  19. I just used the commander from my MR2 It's great being able to pilfer all the best bits from another car before you sell it
  20. Power FCs used from Japan are about 550 quid at present...which is good for what you get to do But as Ecksjay said, same with the MR2 Power FC, which is also discontinued, the prices will rise. The EP82 Power FC is modified by AP Engineering and is actually for the MR2 with the conversion harness. I think though that the fueling control for the injectors is modified so 4 goes into 2, meaning you can't control the injector duty etc for each cylinder, just 2 at a time. There's a Blitz on there now Si
  21. Missed that one...yeah...boost spike and all that? don't think so, surely the air drawn in is the same ammount just colder/denser. Plus boost creep/spike won't occur with te avc-r What's this hydro lock then? and that'll only happen if the filter is soaked won't it? just can't see that happening
  22. thanks I'd forgotten how old I was when someone asked me..and I'm sure I've shrunk. My wife says I'm going grey too (that's her fault...women) When you get older presents get more expensive, until about 50 then you get socks. This year santa brought me an arcade cabinet and street fighter 2 rainbow (none of this wii bollocks) then my mate for my birthday bought me the Neo Geo MVS slot for it and King of the Fighters 98 Keepin it oldskool.
  23. There are a few Blitz Access ECU on the Yahoo auctions in Japan...I can help you get one no problem BUT, I wouldn't. Personally, I think it's just an uprgade to remove fuel cut etc and up the boost a bit, can't be tuned (certainly not on the MR2 anyway). I'd go for a Power FC which is around 550 quid or use the E-Manage or something like that, alteast then you can adjust the fueling to a certain degree to allow for future mods You beat me to it Enzo! Blitz is cheaper than that though...but I still wouldn't bother...false economy.
