  1. much appreciated martin! I'll still take a little look tomorrow.
  2. I've asked this before, but I'm thinking of trying the rear wiper motor from my pug 306 on the ep...providing it fits, how do wiper motors work? the fast and slow setting is that just a change in voltage?
  3. Cheers Sparky, it doesn't cost much to have 4 cars though, if I had 4 escort cosworths...then I'd be rich. Well Mark, Much as I love the car, mentally I've moved on from it, even though it sits there on the drive, I talk about the ep as my project and fun car..not the MR. Are you still loving the EP after your SW20?
  4. That's 2 of us so far with more than one toyota! my mum also has an ST205 Celica ;)
  5. Looked around today and thought it'd be interesting to see what else people have parked on the driveway? I'll start. First we have the MR2 Turbo, my old toy that's now up for sale... then we have the other half's EP91 (we brought it over to sell, but she loved it and kept it..DOH!) finally we have my current project car looking decidedly messy, I also have a Pug 306td for daily commuting which is soon to be replaced (if I have my way) by either an E36 M3 or a Lexus GS300 ;)
  6. Well, I've owned the car 6 years...and in that time I've never really driven it. I want a track car that I don't have to care about really. It's a beautiful car it really is, and unbelievably fast...just want a change ;)
  7. A few videos for you ;) bit short though, taken today. starting up Lazy standing start Drive-by
  8. What is this ep82 kit of which you speak??? Also..anyone know a good mobile tinter to do my back screen? ;)
  9. Now come on...why not? lol Is it hard to do? or is it because it's what muppets do? I'm just having fun with the ep and experimenting with different bits...I'm not a muppet honest.
  10. While I've got the wipers off, is it worth just removing the drivers wiper motor and swapping the middle one for a rear type with 180 deg movement? Anyone done it? what wiper motor will work and how hard is it to remove the motors...any problems? Cheers ;)
  11. Hey Neil, It all depends on how far you want to go... I've removed everything, including air con and heater matrix etc, one seat and a harness is all that's left. To save weight though keeping the interior (a bit pointless) you could fit perspex rear 1/4 windows and rear screen etc. carbon bonnet or frp, lightweight rims You could always remove the engine and use your feet ;)
  12. Well me harty's that was simple enough, 10mm on rear, 2 12mm front. My next question is has anyone removed the dash/full heater control from behind the centre console...just realised it's still in there and must weight a tonne.
  13. Cheers Glanza Ragger, I thought as much..tried to remove the rear wiper last weekend in a hurry, popped the cover, removed the 10mm nut from the centre piece but the bloody arm wouldn't come free, even with me wobbling it a lot. Will try the EcksJay method.
  14. The wiper arms...so I can remove them, sand them down and respray them
  15. lol! but if I wanted to get them off so I could a) put them back on not smash the car to pieces in the process how would I do it? Yahar?? are you a pirate
  16. Going to tidy up the wipers this weekend as they're a bit tatty...how do they come off the car?
  17. Ok, Thanks for all this info I'm going to try and hunt down something from Japan..but will buy the goodridge hoses and use those for starters...where is a good source for the pads?
  18. dark pink is brown...
  19. I've just got off the phone with Goodridge, who do a braded stainless steel kit for the ep82 (I've seen them in japan)..so just waiting on a price from them. Apart from Dave Burwash, is there any ok disc/pad supplier who can sell me aftermarket discs and pads for the rear of the EP82...I want so nice grooved discs at the very least, and not stock ones that are just machined.
  20. 8 pots for the EP are absolutely pointless....
  21. that's all the help I need Enzo Will order my discs, pads and braded lines. Does anyone want a front set of braded hoses?...cheap price. Also...do I need to order anything special disc or pad wise..or is it just EP82 Starlet Turbo discs and pads?
  22. One final question here... I've found a source in Japan for rear uprated discs and pads and goodridge hoses. Do I just upgrade the stock items (keeping the calipers) and leave at that...or do I fit some stock items from an mr2 etc. Will the brake need a bias adjuster or be all good...which method would you go for bearing inmind the front brakes are fairly meaty
  23. not sure if you've already done this, but I drilled the carbon bonnet on the mr2 to fit bonnet pins (very wise move) and had no prblems, metal bit went through it like a hot knife through butter. Another point to make, is why not get the washer jets from a Pug 407 (I think it's that model) that sit on the wipers themselves...I have these on the 2 also and they look and work perfectly
  24. Cheers Enzo, it's the 4e-fte gt model...I just wondered if there were any grooved discs in the UK for the rears to save me importing them...might aswell go for Endless then or similar. I've heard that about Greenstuff too, very abrasive. But racing spec brakes used as intended aren't supposed to last long are they...or engines for that matter
  25. I was meaning where in the UK to get some decent rear discs and pads and braided lines for the stock setup Some sellers on Yahoo are having a right laugh with their prices when they first list. I recall a guy selling a top spec JUN engine for the SW20 for 1million yen which is cheap for what it is, but it's still on there now (9 months later) for less than half that. Problem I tell people all the time, if you really want a part, pay the price as if the item doesn't sell either the seller doesn't relist and sells elsewhere or they lower the price and you get outbid lol.
