  1. I would point out that it does run lower temps under load, but it's how quickly the oil cools after a run that's noticeable. On my MR2 (god rest her soul) the temp gauge would read 80deg whilst idling and topped out at 111deg on a hard run, but very quickly returned to the 80 mark ;)
  2. SiCaln....temp wise it's consistently lower than it was before, especially as the filter is now fitted behind the front fog light so even that gets cooled. I'd invest in one (as I have) for track use or any hard use really...always fitted GREX coolers to my cars and they've always produced the goods ;) And GlanzaRagger, as I import parts from Japan and the Yahoo auctions, I found this on there, in very good condition...they do come up fairly regularly. Total cost to your door on a similar one would be about £250 which is a pretty good saving considering they sell at £450 new
  3. Good idea Mark!! will give that a go, or the socket bashing idea ;) Idrees...the part you want is the locking wheel nut remover kit, it's 2 1/4" sockets that are counter threaded, so as you 'undo' them on the offending nut, they tighten and release it....means the nuts get fucked though and the sockets don't last long either. £9.99 I paid for this set....by LaserLine
  4. I'm not so sure about them myself yet, will look better with the car lower I'm sure ;) every little helps on track though!
  5. Read all about it ;) Man I need to get out more... Linky link link
  6. Need to get the wheels off the car soon and the locking nut key is missing ;) Tried the halfrauds wheel nut remover but it's too shallow sadly!! I've attached a pic of the locking nut any ideas?
  7. I have no idea ;) I've attached a piccy here to help explain it better!
  8. Just whipped the stock stabilizer bar off to fit the Tanabe and noticed the end pieces that bolt into the arms of the suspension are completely different.....problem is, the Tanabe has only one (one missing) Anyone know where I can get my hands on one of these end sockets? Any suggestions welcome ;)
  9. NIck, If you've run the filter out through the side opening of the radiator etc then the noise will be louder still as there is less distance for the sound to travel of the air hitting the blades. Don't worry about it at all, infact..I was trying to get that sound on the ep and running the filter through the front bumper makes it very loud indeed ;) I also have a Blitz BOV that dumps at higher boost pressures but that chatter sound is sexier than something very sexy indeed.
  10. I'm going to drive a few GS300 Sports, don't want the TT. The jag really does appeal to me and yes Mark we're old gits.
  11. I think the Jag in black with black leather (and walnut dash) is pretty nice..what's wrong with me? lol When I was 16 and the Evo 4 had just come out..I thought...I got to get me one of those one day. Now I can buy one, but prefer the Jag or Lexus. It's like when you're young and think that drinking tea and coffee is gay and you'll never do it...here I am drinking a nice cup of Earl Grey lol. Glad I've got the nutter ep sat on the drive to keep me young
  12. was going to post on the m3 forum asking the above question lol Very disappointed, you get fuck all for your money. Just looking at the Jags on Autotrader....5k for a 2000 with low mileage? bargain...it even comes with a pipe and slippers....BONUS!
  13. What a load of crap are they all that shite? The interior is dated (I know it's old) and the power isn't 'all that' 321hp? doubt it. The one I viewed was up at 7k on a 96...the clutch was gone, the seats were well worn, things rattled, the accelerator was stuck....it held the road well though and made a nice noise On the whole...not impressed. Need to view a few more first methinks but it doesn't bode well. On the flip side I drove a Lexus GS300 Sport and that was AWESOME lol...great VIP car....and the biggest shock of the day? I DROVE A JAGUAR S-TYPE and loved it am I getting old? wh
  14. Just got to pick up my locking wheel nut removal tool now....DOH! Anyone want to offer me a nice price for a front set of braded goodridge brake lines for EP82/91 turbo??
  15. lol 6 pots on a car that weighs around 750kg stripped!! I'd headbutt the steering wheel everytime I brushed the middle peddle lol. The Endless for the 'liner cost us around £1100 all in from Japan, I'll be damned if I'd pay close to that for some for the EP!!
  16. The Endless make my Outlaws look tiny... Endless are 6 pot calipers with 350mm discs, the Outlaws are 275mm discs with 4 pots. That's my pet gorilla holding the disc to the wheel while I took a photo..he's offended now ;)
  17. Well the 4pots arrived from Japan today, have to say they're pretty good, one disc has a little more wear than the other but the Endless NA-A pads are as new...should be fun to fit them soon. Also got a set of Endless for the R32 GTR...these fuckers are huge! so huge infact that they're the same size as the 14" alloys on my 306 td ;)
  18. Well the bloody thing was sold before I got there...damnit. But I've decided I want a lower mileage one, preferably in black...so the budget is now 7000. But then I saw a few e46 at 17000 and thought hmmmmmmmmmmm lol....must resist
  19. Well the MR2 sold today....gutted I was bloody cars, thought it wouldn't bother me but it did. So I'm going to look at an M3 tomorrow to cheer myself up!
  20. I think the M3 is going to have to be bought I love the Evo, awesome car, but a 3 is what I'd get for 5k ish and interior and spec wise....well...er....no. lol Now strip one out and put it on a track, now you're talking ;)
  21. Galant has the same tired wanky plastic interior of most other JDM vehicles though
  22. Cheers chaps.. and Enzo ;) The 'liner is too basic inside for me, I want to drive around in a stately home. I'll go test drive a few soon, shame there isn't a local garage with more than one in I can check out. Will add the quattro to the list
  23. I've thought about importing a 'liner but they're too expensive to run and insure...and too heavy lol. Also thought of an Evo 4 but the interiors are just plastic city and the gadgets are woeful. I have the EP for trackdays, the wife has the Glanza for popping about in...I've sold the MR2 and will soon sell the 306xtdt...so I need something ultra lux for my daily commute. I'm finding it very hard to come up with anything that trumps an E36 M3 with the full vader leather seats, around 30mpg on a run and I've been quoted £500 fully comp to insure it.
  24. Not bad, but nowhere near luxury enough...I want leather and toys galore
  25. I've asked around and thought I'd get the opinion of the EP community on what car I should get as a daily driver? My rules/requirements are pretty simple: Must be a saloon (seat 4-5) NO hatchbacks. Must be fun to drive and speedy if possible. Preferrably not that expensive to run and fair mpg. Preferrably RWD and non turbo. Must have lots of gadgets and plush interior Must be reliable. Doesn't have to be Jap either. My current favourite choice is an E36 M3...any others? I'm still also thinking Omega Elite, Lexus GS300...that sort of thing.
