  1. Right, the nasty stuff is out and with the help of some serious adhesive remover it's not looking too shabby. Forgot about the sound deadening on the bulkhead at the front (behind dash) so tonight the dashboard is coming out to get that finished...then I'm going to 'remodel' the dash
  2. there is so little of the car left now...lol..poor ep. It makes doing any job really easy though Tried to find some dry ice to aid with the sound deadening removal but couldn't so heatgun it is.
  3. So this is the pump If I remove this pump and lines, what else needs doing to totally remove the PAS system from the car? (weight saving)
  4. that is a very sorry state of affairs. He could have bought my old vented bonnet for £600. 3/10 for effort.
  5. lol, Ok...tell me where the PAS pump is I'll need to remove the armrest in the next few weeks, might do it in the next few days though if you're that keen! pm me a price shipped
  6. Some very good points there I'm thinking, remove PAS finish off removing the sound deadening...then potentially, make an ally dashboard. There's nothing left of the dash anyway now, just the bolts holding it in place. Is there a how to or any pointers on where the PAS is located?
  7. Yes mate... Now back on topic, what's involved in removing the PAS then? just a pump and lines is it? by the way removing sound deadening is a PAIN IN THE ARSE
  8. Well apart from polycarbonate glass, carbon doors, frp wings...boot lid etc...there's not much else to do I think? I have a lighter clutch and flywheel to go in (2 in fact, will sell one at some point) an OSGilken twin plate monster...also I will remove the sound deadening, fit carbon mirrors, remove the binacle surround...and when I ever get round to polycarb glass on the front (with f40 vents) I'll ditch the arm rest etc too. So that's all going to help. I think ditching the PAS would be a good idea, anyone done this? Also has anyone else removed the dash and made an ally replacement? like
  9. sounds like fun that does...only thing is I need the centre panel/stereo area so I can mount the switches for the lights/fans/ign starter button and boost control etc... I did remove all the fire guard/sound matting from the front bulkhead the other day, saved 2.3kg on its own, then the glovebox, clock, under dash and side pieces shaved another 2kg off there so it all helps!
  10. From the looks of it, the TD05 18G I've acquired should be good for around 330ps. Few more added (Rob_Bee*R) HKS Turbo Diagram
  11. I sadly, only have a 7 point cage now a 10 point cage would allow the door stripping, but would add weight anyway and negate the mod.
  12. I'm with Ryno on the safety front...side impact like that on the drivers side and it's game over...
  13. Basically...what I've done to date: all carpet, rear seats, all plastic, roof lining, ac, full heater and all vents, clock, carbon bonnet, enkei race ep-01s, single carbon seat and 5 point, pic does better I think lol. bumper is modified too!!
  14. Now that's a great idea on the doors... how would I keep the glass/polycarb up without any insides? also I'd need the drivers side mechanism for the window at the moment (passenger side is bolted shut) as ultimately I'd have polycarb with a slider vent. That's a very good idea though ideally I'd want the car down to the low 700s or 600s (a seemingly impossible task). But for now, cracking the 7s would be a good start. If I lose say 10kg from the front, I could lose 2kg from the rear (guess) which would still improve that dynamic index but also save weight. The boot lid weighs a tonne Migh
  15. Doubt anyone will find this interesting...lol Got the car corner weighed last week at a rather slim 811kg fully wet. But that's not good enough for me...so I'm looking at more lightness. What do your EP82s weigh? and what have you done? And what else can I remove from the FRONT of the car, so anywhere infront of the rear wheels (the further forward the better). Trying to improve the dynamic index of 0.56 which is a little bit too direct on the edge. My immediate thoughts are: glovebox and support rail, clock, under dash cover drivers side, sillplate plastic covers (in the footwell) both
  16. Tatty though...which I think adds to the charm lol. Think I'll leave the champagne lower bits, classy.
  17. some more pics when it was picked up from the sellers house Currently sat at the docks....
  18. the greatest ep in existence (if it still exists)..if I saw that up for sale in Japan, it'd be on my drive
  19. I didn't read that bit! DOH! if it's an N/A then yup...strip it out that's all you can do...then sell it and buy a mans car (just kidding) Why not save up a lot of money, buy a 500hp NOS kit and bolt that on? everyone knows that NOS is the greatest performance enhancer in the world ever...look at Fast and Spurious..exactly. You'll have to remove the rear seats and passenger seat anyway to fit in that 800ltr NOS bottle as it'll be turned on full all the time so will empty in about 20 seconds.
  20. I'd say either...get it towed by a bigger car, put it on a trailer... But seriously, if you want hp gains from 0 pounds, you'll struggle (unless you're a tuning god, but if you were..you wouldn't be asking here). The best things you could do would be gutting the cat, removing the boost restrictor and then saving weight. It's not all about big hp (although it helps). Power to weight is very important so stripping out the interior and all creature comforts will save you about 50kg in total that'll improve response, increase mpg (slightly) improve cornering etc.
  21. power to weight is a wonderful thing...I'd love to see (read meet) this car on a track to see how it handles with the weight up front. That's a lot of work gone into that, good luck in hitting 300hp with those mods (although the Motec might pull you through...they're the best there is) A rev3 lump stock will give you around 225 normally, I'd guestimate you're running a healthy 280 or so. The beatiful thing with your car though is that you have the torque but also the tuning potential the 4e doesn't have. I'm also in Surrey (Dorking area) would love to say hello, reminds me of the pickup in
  22. It didn't fetch the BIN price... A lot of people get put off by the fact it's a full car I think, if it had been the parts seperately it'd have fetched a fair bit more.
