Immaculate black SR ebay
Starlet__SR replied to Pikey009's topic in eBay, BidJDM, Yahoo Auction Finds
That would have been my plan if the dealer was reasonable. Who used to own yours? Is it Marks old car? Id love another SR but they're so rare now haha. -

Apparently its sold. I've been interested in the white one but wasn't paying the full asking price. Its nice but nowhere near £2k worth if car. -

That I didn't know about the rust. Wouldn't expect it of an 11k mile car! -

It does look clean, and the black ones look so much better. And I didnt know about the engine bay. I noticed the exhaust missing, shame really as I was tempted but he refused to budge on the price lol. -

Expensive for what it is considering the white one with 11k was only at £2k lol. Day -
Let me guess. You bought the SR off ebay lol?

He's on drugs. Its not that rare and its been on his forecourt nearly 3 months. Its also not that desirable. Day

This car was on gumtree at £795 till this dealer got hold of it. Dont pay more than £800-850 for the car Day

If you can get a clean BEAMS then go for it. Keep away from the 6 pots though. Day
-
The BEAMS Altezza's are worlds apart from the straight 6 cars. As for the 2ZZ, its a cracking sound once in lift. And style has never been Toyota's strong point lol. Day

Quite slow cars, still wont touch a CTS with the supercharger kit. Consider the celica t sport if the corolla isn't quite your cuppa.
-
The 11k mile one is back on ebay at that. Missing the TTE exhaust though 😩
-
Would have thought it would be easier to drop the head off than having to drop the crank out. Dont forget you'll need to drop the box/clutch/flywheel off just to release the crank. Day

Distributor leaking onto thermostat housing
Starlet__SR replied to Flaminsam's topic in Ignition & Fueling
Just buy a new bearing with the code 6000 2RS. The 2RS denotes 2 rubber shields. Or you can buy them with metal shields. No point putting a new seal on an old bearing. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/brand-x-sealed-bearing-6000-2rs-bearing/rp-prod119269 Day -
What kinda price would you be thinking?

oil pressure warning situation
Starlet__SR replied to teta's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Might be a faulty pressure switch. -
Tend to get alot more cabin noise with the centre box removed.
-
If you go on corolla club uk facebook page there's some toms new actions. Day
-
Check the door switches too. Sometimes these can fail and are often overlooked. Day
-
Because they're getting old now. There's cars out there that can go quicker for less money. More off the shelf parts. Its a shame really. Day

BUMP!!! Still looking, would love a clean GT Turbo!!!

Be better with a 2ZZ 😉
