  1. thanks man. gonna change the plugs later so will make sure they are done right. i can handle one problem at a time but when things start goin all over the shop i get stressed

  3. done it yesterday and today. opened my bonnet to make sure nothing has blown upo yet and the ht lead for the first ( most left ) cylinder has popped off. still sittin in the hole but i have to push it back down onto the plug properly again. help me i think my cars of the edge of commiting suicide.
  4. im not sure of the diameter. is pretty large tho. was a wepr system that was on before tho and that was quite large too. sure if tmd sell them dave should know.
  5. i reckon its just as good. be like gettin blitz sparkplugs where ya pay 20 for 1 and ya can get ngk full set for that

  8. i just recently fitted one to my glanza rep mate. with fitment mine sits off the part in the bumper . site to the right a bit but could be because its an n/a with the engine conversion so dunno if the hangars on the shell are in a diff place. regarding sound i think mine sounds good. it sounded alot more quiet when i first fitted it tho and now is quite loud although there are no holes. dunno if thats normal for exhausts as i have never had a new one. im working on trying to get a vid of it for another member so if i ever manage i can send u the vid too. also take the baffle in the backbox out as mine started rattlin but its only 1 10mm bolt so about 30 seconds should see it out. overall it seems a good system so far and was easy to fit. took me about an hour in the rain. was not amused

  12. yeh im just gettin worried my build is gonna get set back to rebuilt my engine im using the now because i checked again just now and sooo much shit comin out the catch can and if its because its full ill be even more worried because it was just emptied haha. yeh i was thinkin it would be hard and i just had a moan at a mate about it and he was like oh my bosses mate does it ill ask him about it tonight. ill need to speak to my mate later n see what the guy said. hopefully he said he can do it and for only £1
  13. little update. got my powdercoated rocker cover today. going to be for my rebuilt engine if the engine in my car lasts long enough till its done haha. not as metalicy as i had hoped so im looking into having one anodised but not sure anodising hadles heat. also after asking around about my engine pushin oil through the catch can im gonna change my pcv and give the can a good clean up and see if it solves anythin and if not i may take this car off the road after i get the n/a back on the road to take it apart and rebuild the bottom end and then put it back on the road again. or if it last long enough keep it on the road and start collecting bits for a forged build . confusing much ???? also i was gonna do a 5efte forged build but after a little thought since it is gonna be my first engine build im gonna do a 4e instead so its easier for parts and just in general. plus got my plugs from nick from TD thanks mate
  14. lol went to toyota today and had a look at their diagrams and i need to get 2 brackets t bolt it to im not doin anythin sketchy with cable ties. i always do half assed jobs on my car and im gonna do it properly from now on where possible. and where its not ... cable ties.

  19. not sure if the head your talking abpout is off the car but if it is you should just take the time and get it all done and machined then source a bottom end. if ya have the springs there already i would just put them in and it gives you the choice of upping the rev limit later without taking the head to bits again.

  21. since it will already have 100 bhp you may be able to get more but ( i dont actually know any facts just guessin) could be that most of the things that people would do to a common n/a will have already been done to this as standard so might be harder to find places to get gains if ya get what im tryin to say. on the other hand since thats just me brainstorming it could be alot of crap
  22. just looking for pictures if anyone has any of any brackets that the bottom half of the standard airbox bolts into on an n/a. never had the airbox on either of my cars so brackets aint there . theres an n/a that drives about here.wonder if he would mind me just popping his bonnet open
  23. we pay road tax for the same reason as any other tax because the government want to take as much of our money as possible for doing nothing. road tax is like 120 quid . vat goin up to 22 % income tax is 20% for me and then they wanna take 20% of my money when i die off the people i give it to. so on average im payin lik 65% of my money to the government. anyhoo back on topic. the holes are shocking . nearly lost it on the M 8 driving to work. doin 70 which is normal and boom theres a pothole that wasnt there before. car did its own thing and swerved so i was half in the hard shoulder. if i had crashed i woulda been straight on the phone to a lawyer.
  24. from your description which as you say isnt the best it might just be the car. as standard these cars arent the best for handling. usually if ya try go even a little fat ya get understeer. then ya shit it and come off gas and get lift off oversteer lol. few struts and upgraded suspention should see ya in the right direction.
