  2. Can't wait for 2 weeks time, going to go flippin crazy and get as much done as i can in one day! I have told them about my dodgy heart as well and hopefully that will make him want to do more on it as well. He can see how badly i want it done now :harhar: Guy i work with his son works in the wind tunnel test department at Williams so im going with him to look round. Aparrently its not just F1 but all williams stuff and now and then the drivers are learking about A couple of years ago i used to work with Maclarens Top F1 Ex Engineer and he got me tickets to Silverstone testing and i got rig
  3. *** little update *** As i posted before i was going to get up to JDModified and do some work on the buggy today but unfortunately it was not possible as James wasn't about for the day so couldn't get to the buggy :harhar: Instead i went to work and cracked on with a few little bits: The metal for the adjustable spoiler arrived on Friday so i spent a few hours today getting the bits welded up and it looks like a keeper. The spoiler brackets get welded to the top roll bar piece on the back and should be more than enough to support the rear spoiler piece. They are adjustable as well so the an
  4. Congratulations, now get some pictures up
  5. Also after you have got rid of everything that is not essential then its best to start replacing the stuff that is essential with light weight versions to help. eg get rid of all the seats but replace drivers seat with light weight bucket seat, and a passengers seat if you really need it. My thing is stupidly light but after i have built it im going to begin trying to get the weight down as much as possible. And i mean looking at everything on the car......not that there is much on it to begin with. Obviously i will keep stuff like gauges, covers etc but if it doesn't help with egtting me rou
  6. /\/\ As Sparky said :harhar: You haven't had your fun with that TD12 yet
  7. I can't really comment about removing the seats but know about weight saving If your getting rid of the rear seats then might be worth taking out some more as well. Taking seats out is the first step. Will look sort of stripped then, so might as well ditch rear seat belts and plastics. Then comes everything else that isn't essential. If the car works with out it rip it out! :harhar:
  8. Im usually working on it just on my own but this time when i mean they are busy i mean they are busy in another part of the country :harhar:
  9. Or into another similar looking piece os shit chav car :harhar:
  10. Looks like i may not be working on it at the weekend now :harhar: Not Happy!!!!! Just got off the phone with James at JDModified and they might be busy with other things this weekend so i may not be able to get to the buggy to even work on it! they are going to call later to confirm but it doesn't look good. Just when i was all motivated and really wanted to crack on with it Obviously not there fault as i know how busy they get and they also need time for other things! They said that im fine working on it next weekend but I am busy as i have a VIP pass to williams F1 test centre and im not
  11. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! My eyes, they burn with evil :harhar:
  12. LOL I guess that in the overall scheme of things if my heart valve is getting replaced with a carbon fibre one then its making the buggy several milli grams lighter Now what other body parts can i replace with carbon :harhar: On another note i am fully motivated to get back on with this now!!!! Im actually thinking about nothing else but building the kit car and getting the thing on the road! The last couple of nights i have been lying in bed planning whats going to get done this weekend and working out the plan of attack. I think about it so much that when i do eventually fall asleep i e
  13. As in what parts? More than likely be some/few similar parts, whats the point in toyota designing all new parts for every car when they have already deisgned them and they work fine? but i could be wrong? LOL
  14. Not really my cup of tea to be honest but thats what modding cars is all about! Some of the stuff im doing probably makes people think 'what the fuck' At the end of the day as long as your happy with it! I have respect for you though, not many people would do something like this and do something completely different and not the norm. Although its not too my taste i can fully appreciate the amount of work that has gone into this! The dash alone looks like ALOT of work has gone into it, including that lexus is200 cluster molded into the middle, i recognise it The amount of time taken to wire
  15. Good idea Chanelle, and your car looks sweeeeeeeet. I love the graphics not really a starlet but, mine when i bought it........ and how it stands now, not much of a difference i guess.............
  16. Thats pretty good results for that setup! Looks like i may have found the Demon's new turbo
  17. **** Mini Update ***** Well after my hospital check up on wednesday i got back to work and these arrived 10 minutes later. These are the coilovers for the front of the buggy, wasn't going to buy them just yet but when people are selling them slightly cheaper than what it would cost me then i can't resist and gave in to temptation. The springs going on these are the ones already on the buggy which will fit on these a treat. The coilover kit for the rear will be on order very soon. Also the steel that i need laser cutting for the rear adjustable spoiler design is currently being made u
  18. Get ready for this......... Me: Lexus IS200 160bhp Me: Demon 135bhp (at the moment ) Bro: Clio Diesel 80 bhp Bro: MR2 Turbo 600 bhp Dad: VW Sharon 115 bhp Mum: Lexus IS250: 208 bhp Total 1298 Jason
  19. Do they actually do a starlet/glanza model???? If you guys are trying to get a company to produce a 'new' kit then i really don't think it will happen as there will be a huge price involved to create moulds for the kits. Im not trying to upset people but i doubt you will get a cheap kit made. If you guys do get a kit made up then you will be really lucky and you almost want to see if it can be packaged up as a UKSC model kit Dam it, You have me wanting a kit of the 'Demon' now Don't think i am going to find someone that will make me one cheaply, hang on wait a minute, im a modelmaker Thi

    Weekend

wear nothing then I have no cash so my weekend is spent surfing the net looking for cheap parts for the Demon. Why do fuel cells cost so bloody much
  21. Should fit in theory, though don't quote me on that. The MK1 MR2 and the starlet/glanza have the same exedy clutch kit. If you check the exedy website the clutch kits all have the same part number. That kit says its for the 1.6 MK1 MR2, which should be the same. Jason
  22. Took the words out of my mouth! Not all about power! Im planning on also doing hill climb's and track events hopefully next year when mine is up and running. I know its completely different but im going for 200bhp and then spend more money getting the balance, weight and handling of the car set up better. You will probably find it cheaper and easier to look at weight reduction and you will have a more responsive car than going for all out power. Plus most hill climb tracks are more bends than flat out straights. Im planning on a CT9 hybrid or possibly the TD12 when the results are posted
  23. I will be watching this topic closely Think i will be going TD12 on mine
  24. Well for the sake of my ass i better keep it then I don't know why i even mentioned it to be honest. I did post up that it crossed my mind and then soon after changed it back. Anyway the front coilovers should arrive today so that should motivate me a bit
