  2. spoiler wasnt to my taste, the new owner got a bargain, im just happy i have a standard one now. After fitting the turbo back onto the car, it decided to shit itself and spit out oil causing this guessing i need them gaskets lol ep91 Gearbox 60k off andy:) So the same day i got my spare turbo on, which is now on and running:) no oil, no smoke and im happy:) The car is currently running fine, but due to me going away for few weeks, will be garaged and battery taken off, so the alarm doesnt go off when my battery gets low. I havent drove the car properly apart from when purchasing t
  3. why what does the efi fuse do? ive just fitted a turbo before to a starlet with just cranking, no efi fuse removed and that turbo was fine.. but yea just my luck lol
  4. Aye. I took kinglead of spark. Turned over. Then started. ? That ok?
  5. Fitted my turbo today. Started up. Happy. Then loads of oil was coming from turbo into ic piping So took pipe off N started car and oil was coming up from ic outlet. Are my oil seals fucked? How I'd love to know as was perfect before???
  6. its not exactly skilled work. i did mine fairly easily, took a while mind. grinding stone & drill and grind away the area needed, take time and caution.
  7. for the money, a standard ported will do the same job as wepr, this is in my opinion and few members on tgtt. Cast iron is less likely to crack, than mild steel and espically stainless. hense why the standard one which is ported is the best option. theres people on tgtt done 40k+ on there standard ported manis at 1 bar so safe enough. dont get me wrong, a better option is wepr mild steel/equiv but for the money how better is it than the standard one?
  8. Purchased few bits Woop ep91 JAM ecu, seals intact etc very happy at the minute. not fitted it yet as the turbo is still off. I finally ported the wastgate about 1/2mm with a hoover at hand(thanks to zac for the idea) Ported the manifold enough! Set the actuator at 0.9 bar painted the mani with high temp paint(black) fitted my cat bracket with allen key high tensil shiny bolts My plan hopefully tomorrow(all going well) to fit turbo, mani decat back on and im also worried that the braided oil feed is going to leak,(due to the horror stories on here) its had a new gasket on it too!
  9. ok cheers lads! whats the standard rev limit? ive never went near standard redline lol
  10. what would you say i should stop at then?( standard internals) whats standard rev limit lads?
  11. on a standard engine with a plug and play ecu the rev limit is 8.2k is this safe to run on a standard engine??
  12. After trying to fit the braided hose One of the nuts was like chocolate and literally was spinning, So work was undertaken, looks really empty HKS set at 7.5 psi Unit wacked two new HT bolts in the ic piping as the didnt have any threads left! Good news is that the gaskets look in VGC so im happy with that. Im currently eating dinner waiting for drill to charge so i can carry on with the portage. Im also after a aftermarket ecu if anyone selling soon:) C&C welcomed.
  13. thats dans on tgtt, he sold up and bought a dc2 Looks good dude. Did you sort the old braided oil feed out?
  14. Received today. Planning to give it the new oil n filter change when fitting.
  15. any 5w40 or 10w40 fully syn will do. I use fuchs sikolene pro s, which is one of the best in my opinion. Millers is good too! 5w40 is slightly thinner than 10w40 so its better for cold starts up as it protects more. I dont tend to flush my engines though. and ive never had any problems(touchwood) hope this helps dude any coolant should do really.
  16. looks good dude, shitter on the engine though.
  17. I had to modify the top bracket to make it sit out more in cut out And then was two --- Welded straight shapes from bottom cross panel underneath intercooler so it's secure and ic sits on it. Win win.
  18. A wrapped exhaust will slightly smoke till it's run in. Not sure about your friends Josh though. Unless it had a leak?
  19. fitted ic made to brackets to keep it steady underneath, still got a slight bumper issue but its on! its started to chatter more at lower Boost then dumps? thats ok isnt it? Also my blitz decat, should i heatwrap it or as its cast iron will it make no difference?
  20. The damaged spolier i had Thanks to marc(morph) & stavros for bits new FCD incase i hit fuel cut, i wont be raising the boost it will just be boost creep. boost gauge finally lights up Blotz & bracket and bolts from jezza Oooo yea Turns out not to be coilovers but a fmic from luke(thought i had won something in a competition FMIC black old door marks & new door now on but i forgot to change the lock:@ Got Nuts? Roof lining now in and fitted with new parcel shelf, boot carpet. Tryed to fit fmic earlier but had few issuses with top of bumper and it needing to
  21. Socks on your hands?? Ive done a few manifolds with n without gloves. It's itchy. But usually when wet it's not that bad. I got a bowl of water. & dropped it in that. Literally for a second. It didn't itch that much. But some people say it's awfully itchy for days. I've never had a problem though.
  22. definatly wet wrap, easier to move around branches. Wear gloves too as its very itchy stuff. i got mine from rally design and used the natural wrap. which is just as good as the thermotec not sure if the cheap shizzle on ebay is any good though.
  23. This build is great dude! Engine looks awesome
