  5. agreed steering is heavy, but much better feel through the bends. can sense when i start losing traction better. also can make pipe route shorter
  6. they are specifically set for the car their going on, even lopping a coil will upset the spring rate. i've been in many a car with chopped springs and the ride is hellish!! if you dont mind the bouncy bob then do it, but i would recommend just purchasing some lowering springs for the sake of £80 lol.
  7. As above it was working fine and when my car took quite a few cranks to start it's now made the rpm feature go AWOL!! Now doesn't work and increases when I turn heaters on/lights etc. Any ideas on this??
  8. do a comp test if ya can, should make things a little clearer. but if it missfires then yea i would say rings too lol

  10. yea i personally use castrol, dno y lol i have always used 'em. personal preference really. millers are the boys too. im not ruling out fully synth, it is a better oil but i would run a good flush through 1st just to make sure all the shit n sludge is out.
  11. fully synth can be dodgy as it lifts the carbon deposits off your engine, and you dont want that circulating through your bearings. personally i stick to part synthetic, the best being 5w40/5w30.

  13. yea there was a little play, took the centre cap off and nipped it up, no more play yeaa its deffo the suspension, i didnt take the top mount off which was silly. from what ive read on here its a common fault. know anywere i can get just the rear top mounts??
  14. so i have took the shock out inspected it nothing, i put some axle stands on the sills and used a bar to lift the rear beam, cudnt hear anything. all nuts/bolts are tight. no play in the bushes. it happens only when i hit a pothole, not when i go over a bump. anyone experienced this??

  17. ive got the profec b 2 as a gauge (its not controlling the boost just using it as a gauge) and blitz dcii boost gauge. both different points on the manifold, both reading about a bar. like stated the eml is coming on, but its not popping/juddering like i presume fuel cut should. stock ecu as well
  18. im getting exactly the same problem mate, my engine management light is coming on tho, is yours?? i just peaked at a bar :s. i cant physically feel any kind of fuel cut but it makes a weird squelching noise.
  19. i have only used the engine loom mate, spliced it into the dash loom. i used the ecu pinout diagrams and followed them. is MUCH easier tho to use the glanza dash.

  22. weston is usually quite busy on a sunday, wondering if anyone in the area will be about?? starlets up and running now would like to see/meet a few owners in these ends?? usually park in kfc/currys carpark.
