  3. yes i think i let off in time. my ebc vac source is on its own, i dont run power steering or aircon so a lot of the nipples on the inlet manifold arnt being used. i will just take it easy until i can afford an actuator, then i can set up the ebc with it and hopefully will be perfect. thanks for the help nice to know i can just consult people on here who have been there and done it lol
  4. ahh right interesting. what i found though was the light came on, but i didnt feel fuelcut. unless i let off so quickly that it didnt have chance to cut. i know i dont have a vac leak, im running a short inlet route and meshed pipe lol, caused it to spike. thanks for your help mate
  5. i have a greddy profec b 2, but the solenoid isnt rigged up at mo im just using it as a accurate boost gauge until i get a hks actuator. i read on tgtt that the eml comes on just before fuel cut, is this true?? yea as soon as the light came on i let off straight away, didnt wana do damage lol. surely though at 13.5 psi i should have hit fuel cut?? do they all differ??
  6. thanks for the reply mate. yea i know what fuel cut is, and i know its quite violent when you reach it. but my car didnt hit fuel cut, it just overboosted. jw if anyone else has experienced this?? basically is it possible to overboost without hitting fuelcut?? i have no fcd
  7. i put me toe down on the way home earlia in 3rd, and the engine management light came on!! 1st thing i thought...'greeat whats wrong now?!' looked at my ebc and it peaked at 13.5!! is a cold night, lovely dense air. but it didnt hit fuel cut?? turned the engine off and on, eml went off. shouldnt of i hit fuel cut??

  9. hmmm no i had the exact same problem, russel h pointed out that the water temp sender and oil pressure connectors are very similar, switched them around and it solved the problem. the oil light should be rather on or off, it shouldnt fade away.

  15. so ive put a front mount on it, de-cat, shorter inlet route and its running 11.5 psi (restrictive wastegate). no power steering and no aircon. 150 bhp seem about right?? what do you suggest next to do?? wanna keep under fuel cut for the minute but would like to see a little more power.

  17. when i give her some beans when shes hot i get a whiff of oil in the car, im sure its the breather filter as I've just put it directly on top of the rocker. can i block this off ya reckon?? the pcv to the inlet is still on so its not gonna pressurize.
  18. yes mate, the 26 pin and 16 are mainly engine sensors and auxiliaries, and the 12 pin is for interior loom and power to things like relays, fuel pump switched power etc.

  20. it passed the mot!!!!! well happy shes on the road now!!! took her out for the first time yesterday, so much nicer to drive than my misses Ka lol. got two advisories one on the steering, feels a bit rough but im sure its the uj, and the exhaust too noisy lol. one problem tho, when he put in on the ramp he hit the gearbox coverplate, sounded like he snapped the cambelt it caused it to rub the flywheel lol, bent it out of the way and its ok now, But must have damaged my starter motor because everytime i start it it sounds terrible, bit guttin but he was lenient on me having no split pins on a
