  4. right finally started the temp respray on the lenso's, they look shite, but better than multicolored and flaking for jf1 once i get my wheels back off my brother, i can take the tyres off the lenso's and shot blast them and get a tidy finish on them ready for japfest 2 found this though :/ so new tyres are needed all one color finally and almost done, still got the centrecap plastic to spray and the rest of the bolts to go back in once they have been stripped, then i should be good to go get the idea? tried the brothers GT3's also, and im not convinced :/ ryan

  11. yea its much easier to undo the mounting point on the alternator from underneath dude urmm i think you'll need a 12mm spanner, 12mm socket, 14mm socket and a wratchet. you wont need new bolts dude
  12. yeah that would be true dude the 1.6 is the same engine from the 323 turbo its a good job i have cut all my lushious locks off then isnt it haha
  13. stripped the turbo down ready to be rebuilt the other day should be lovely when rebuilt hopefully have to built by japfest, wont be on the car by then though got alot of pics so i wont bore you with them all, just some beginning and end pics beginning middle (ally pipes getting cut and flanges skimmed) end also test sprayed one of the caps in satin black hopefully have at least the wheels done by japfest, cant find a 3rd centre cap though :/ so dont think they will be completely done for japfest but should pretty much be sorted by then

  15. right i know the engine isnt in the car, and the power steering pump isnt actually attatched, but its all i have to work with the pink arrows are pointing to the main mounting point of the alternator and power steering pump - these need to be slackened 1st the red arrows then point to the adjusters of each, these need to be slacked to remove the belts power steering belt comes off 1st by undoing the threaded bar from the bottom (red arrow to the right of pic) (much easier with the bumper off) you then pivot the power steering pump downwards towards the engine. keep undoing the threaded b
  16. if the alternator belt has been adjusted alot, it may be the adjuster thats coming loose, i know my mx5 was doing this alot recently and i had to put all new bolts in as they were shagged and kept rattling loose :/ it is fairly easy though dude, as above, just have a good look at the bolts and figure out whats easiest for you to get to them etc, go make a cuppa, have a strategy planned, then get cracking just make sure you put the right belts on, the larger of the belts is the power steering i think. also dont forget to put the alternator belt around the water pump belt too fella as the al
