  1. hmm ill check them both again tomorrow, hoping thats all that it is, massive massive help guys theres only one way the bearing would clip onto the fork, so it may just be the clutch plate on the wrong way
  2. its like a high pitch skimming squeel
  3. cheers for the input guys, should get it sorted tomorrow will re-check everything twice before putt the box back on, because that was a ball ache in itself haha
  4. if you put the clutch down half way-ish, theres like a squeeky skimming noise. i think it could be the bearing, if the new FTE bearing was wider than the FE bearing, would that cause it to behave in that way? because i keep gettign a weird flashback of holding the new bearing, then when i look at the old one, it seems thinner than the image i have in my head of the FTE bearing
  5. sorry i couldnt make it guys, had some problems with amjads car whilst putting it back together
  6. clutch drag was the word i was searching for in my head earlier! its like its not dis-engaging enough to put it into gear.
  7. as above guys are the release bearings fron the n/a gearbox, and the FTE box different? can think of anything else it could be cheers iddy
  8. okay mate will do
  9. im hoping to still make it, but i may be in a minging state haha. gotta finish of helping amjad with his clutch and crank oil seal
  10. glamorgan? haha if you can afford it, id go forged pistons, but that means have the block re-honed, although if you do go standard again, you'll probably still need them re-honed because the ringlands will have scratched it if it is them
  11. thats the kp60 estate the remix is the modern day equivalent
  12. i think taggy meant kp40 by the way lol same as the pic i posted
  13. ky, i had one on my old 4e makes a lovely torque gain and quite a few bhp's too you'll probably see better benefits on your 5efhe though as these are designed for the 5e engines
  14. they did an np80 which was the deisel i think too
  15. theres a kp40/41 too dude it was modelled on the old corolla, shared the same engine as the kp60 just had more of an arse to it
  16. whutt!!! how come?
  17. cheers bryn
  18. is there anywhere that does 4x100 20mm to 4x100 spacers? as i can only find 4x100-4x114 bolt on spacers
  19. alright mate, could i use this just to get a rough power to weight ratio? then you can remove it cant find any decent converters lol
  20. if you dont pal, bring it along, and some tools and ill do it at the meet for ya
  21. he's obviously mates with the guy at the garage, i know i wouldnt send £300 worth of coilover to a garage that i didnt know anyone that worked there. so they could have been chucking it about, moving it around for 3 months. id leave the offer as it stands mate
  22. if its taken him 3 months to notify you they are faulty, then it could have happened any time in the 3 months he has had them, most likely lying around in a garage. the offer you have given him is an amazing offer! if he doesnt want that then at least try the courier and see what they say. theres not alot more you can do then really
