  1. Damien can I ask in what way their serach function is better?? surely search is search no? or is it like google being better than askjeeves? is it a technical thing? If this is a general consensus amongst members i will raise it with Geo, see if ours can be improved. Phil.
  2. cheers lads! much appreciated. she was bought for a purpose and all being well she'll serve that purpose very comfortably! Phil.
  3. you're on G buddy! Phil.
  4. the ICE is for sale if u are interested and it can be collected in Ayr scotland or somewhere within a reasonble drive from there. the floor itself tho is no use, the bits at the side we made out of various bits of wood nailed together, plus its all covered in fibreglass now. its not hard to do, u just need a sheet of MDF or similar and a jigsaw for the holes and sides. but yeah, if the sub and amp are of any interest to you let me know dude. a very very reasonable figure could be easily agreed upon Phil.
  5. Update Alrighty then, let us commence with this new project. Jay has his Project 55, so, in homage to such a great project name, I have now dubbed this project of my own, Project 159. Please excuse the fact she is not clean, never in my life have i encountered a car that gets so dirty so easily, apparently they are known for this along with the GT due to the shape of the front and rear wheel arches, they throw dirt everywhere! needless to say, i have already investigated OEM mud-flaps and these will be ordered post-haste to prevent any stone chips developing up the sides. Now, this being BadgerSports Inc, she couldnt stay totally standard for too long, I mean I picked it up on wednesday, thats more than long enough! So, some small tasty treats: and: before: after: On the hunt for a few OEM accessories for her, so will update in due course. Phil.
  6. it seems fairly brittle at the mo, i'm thinking big flat head screwdriver over a few weeks and a hammer! cheers gents! Phil.
  7. two bin bag fulls! i try not to think how much all that carpet and sound deadening cost me all those years ago...ouch. now we need to get the factory sound deadening out buddy, thats where i'll be calling you in for some help as i dont know how best to tackle it! i suspect a chisel! but there's no rush! we've got all winter! Phil.
  8. win! Phil.
  9. Update The time has come for the next incarnation of this project, which i have entitled, Operation: Less is More For the last few years this is what the rear end of my car has looked like inside, and this is where Operation: Less Is More begins: After 20 mins with a screwdriver it looked like this: A half hour later: uh-ohhhh, look what happens when u remove the spot welds of the spare wheel mount. looks like Alan-E has some welding to do!!! An hour later: A half hour later again, speaker out: Another half hour, second speaker out: And a half hour after that again...not bad with only a 10mm socket in the garage since mark took his socket set away with him! quite proud of my ingenuity...which in truth means i stole the method of removal of things in the way from Jay! And some further weight reduction to be had for Secret Steve to fit next yr some time, courtesy of CJ Performance! Next up i will pull through all the remaining rear speaker wires and power cable for the amp back out through the bulk head, then remove the head unit. Operation: Less Is More. Operation Status: Operation Commenced Operative Status: Hands cut to shreds by sound deadening...bastard. Phil.

  18. winz! however, steady on with that change of wheels chat! i said u could borrow them for MOT! not steal them like some highwayman! u filthy swine! also, Mike will be epic in that car! she'll be racing everything. EVERYTHING! Phil.
  19. very good but there is one thing i disagree with. you say the cone filter gets cold air - yes, u have retained the stock feed, but that thing will also be sucking in plenty of warm air from the bay. the cones are prettier than the airboxes, but performance wise, i personally prefer a panel in a box as it is heat shielded to a certain degree and more stable, and it worked nicely on my n/a and continues to work safely on my FTE. however, that being said, thats a good base you have yourself for modding dude, keep us posted. Phil.
  20. coolio dude, perhaps in time yeah i'll look into that, you're the second person to suggest that, the first is a work colleague who owns alfas, so food for thought. hopefully gettin her taxed today so will have her on the road tomorrow. ordered a bee-sting ariel and two black metal tax disc holders with the alfa logo engraved into them. Phil.
  21. track car? fuck no. that invloves paying for track cover, paying for trackskills, a tow bar, a trailer, a helmet...bollox to that. she's getting stripped out as a fast use road toy for fair weather. cheers joel man, there's gonna be some sound deadening and fibreglass with your name on it. Phil.
  22. dude, a fighter spawn can be between 50 and 200 in one go...i dread to think what mollies will put out. Phil.
  23. Update now off the road. and time for a diet. Work to commence in the coming weeks. time for a new chapter. Phil.
