  1. i use a blade and a chamois....and Alan D goes MAD at me for it, he hates the idea of draggin anything across the paint! i hate letting it dry naturally, leavin all them nasty water marks behind! i actually find drying her off the most satisfying part lol. sad i know! i think its because u start to see your hard work pay off! Alan D uses baby towels that he gets from mother care and machine washes. he doesnt drag them over the paint. he lays them onto the car and then peels them back off again, at no point moving the towel across the paint. i watched him do this to my car....and i dont know how he has the patience. more attention to polishing and waxing is something i'm hoping to get into, hence buying the Autoglym HD wax even tho i didnt need it, but for me, a good chamois is the way to go. probably not what the avid detailers would recommend, but so far it has caused me no damage. Phil.

  5. thanks lads! yeah Stevie a new belt has stopped the squeaking, i thought i heard somethin tonight but it may just be the cold outside. i got my fog light from Express Autofactors in Larne mate, its just a universal one mostly used on trailers, at first i hated it because its massive, but the rectangular shape sits better than a square one i think. @Jon...lamda sensor u say, no i havnt changed or cleaned that, i'll discuss that with Jay man thanks!!! as u say Jon, u really do feel the small boost increases in these cars, everytime Jay tinkers at it I drive away with a grin on my face at the new response under my right foot! Phil.

  19. first of all, nice car! oh wait...THATS MINE! secondly, the search button will show u that this question is asked every few months and gets the exact same answers, so let me break it down for u... 1. There are 2 of these in the WHOLE club 2. No, neither of the two owners are prepared to "lend" their splitters for copying, it wont happen, so people should stop asking, they are rare and they will stay that way 3. People should also stop asking to be top of the list if either Tony or I ever sell our splitters 4. The last examples to be seen on the open market were attached to full cars for sale in northern ireland your best bet is to go custom, something like a civic splitter, a Glanza front end conversion, an MS Designs kit or lip, or a laguna lip. simples. Phil.
  20. wasnt having a go at u or anything mate, please dont think i was. i'm just concerned about any aggro that could be caused between the 2 sites again if Animal comes on here and tells his side of the story. Jay and Mark have both refrained from really commenting on the matter, which is to their credit. i just dont want another "them and us" thread. talk to Animal in PMs all u like dude, but for the sake of peace and quiet i think its best we keep boths sides of the issue off UKSC. Phil.
  21. very smart! clear indicators and spoiler are smart touches! Phil.
  22. Home from the Costa. good day all round, spent some time at Kirky with weejohn and ted and their trackcar, and had a good nosey round an old supra (Mk1????), gorgeous thing it was too. as for my car.....power steering belt is now sorted and so far she's squeak free!!! result. however, Jay suspects that my Blitz SSBC is doin fuck all squared. The weird feeling coming from the car appears to have been a mild dose of fuel cut, so a bit of fiddling with some piping and thats sorted, and has reduced the boost to around 0.6/0.65bar, but there's no longer the shitty hesitation when she's trying to get up and go. so, as we can't get the boost any higher, next up will be an HKS actuator, then perhaps an FCD and a fuel reg. there's still alot more to be had, Jay would like to see her at 0.85bar, so manual boost control will have to be the way forward, and perhaps i'll pick up another EBC from somewhere. Jay also ran a diagnostics test and checked the timing and fueling, all perfect on those fronts! So, progress was made! Phil.
  23. i think we should let it lie lads, its between Animal and the TGTT Admin staff, I know our admin wouldnt want our decisions the subject of discussion over on TGTT. I'm sure they had their reasons, well, if Jay was involved i'm sure theres a decent reason, i dont know the rest of their admin team. Phil.
  24. very nice mate!!!! great work! Phil.
