  1. Mileage on turbo, any shaft play or smoke issues, and how much for just decat and turbo?
  2. That doesn't look a fresh import, the invoice is different to the company selling it, also that underside looks to have surface rust you wouldn't find on a fresh import. Having said that though it does look clean enough, and that invoice is from the same Company who imported mine, and everything's legit
  3. Ive had the turbo off mate, nothing on intake or exhaust wheels just a tiny bit in intercooler pipe which I hear is normal? Driver, that may be a point, does that mean there's some wear somewhere or is it okay? Could maybe try some thicker or semi oil as I run 5w 40 fully synth John, ah that's fair enough, if it turns out to be the turbo I won't be overly bothered, just as long as its not internal like rings or stem seals

Ah I see daniel, yeah thats maybe an idea but as you say streetracer it really isnt that bad, its faint blue smoke not a cloud, and so i could swap the turbo with a mate and it not do it in that time even if it is something else lol, I think as you all say though hopefully it is the turbo over any of the worse things, will keep an eye on it I think....my only worry is why was there no oil all over the turbo?

RIght then, UPDATE time: Since fitting a decat I've noticed the smoke more often, now it mainly seems to be on warm idle, or giving it a rev, It has done it once when I let the car to warm up for ten mins, then when I got in and revved as I set off it smoked a bit, aside that it mainly seems to do it on warm idle, especially after giving it a bit of a boot, then if I pull up somewhere and leave it running. Have had a comp test done and all cylinders were exactly the same, I would assume turbo but when fitting the decat there was no oil on it, a slight bit in the intercooler pipes though when

  7. Will this be safe though as I hear removing these Pcv valves is a lot more dangerous than people think as they do an important job Or something? N ah shit I forgot about that, had to destroy it to get the valve out they both broke into like 8 pieces lol, I've asked iddy to order me both anyway

  9. Is this quite a simple task if doing it without removing the head? Sounds confusing because ive never done it before :/ Hoping I don't need to but preparing for the possibilities as I caught a Glimpse of some blue smoke since fitting the decat :/

  15. Some people use a coin super glued on, I made a little blanking plate out of a flat piece of metal, siliconed and screwed it down using the existing hole mate
  16. Also, I dunno if its related to me having a top mount but I noticed my Ssqv is a longer chirp than every other starlet I've heard with ssqvs they had the nice short chirp, even replica ones, whereas mines a bit longer like a standard dv just higher pitched :/

Haha it is nice but I like the ssqv noise :/ And it's a non adjustable ssqv mate, the piston does Dump if I look in the bay an does dump sometimes it just seems to be drowned out by the chatter, maybe it's the meshed turbo and will go back to normal once my front filter arrives? Do you run with no bov then?
  18. I finished installing my fmic today, and had to extend the vac line to the new position, I also had to temporarily mesh the turbo until my filter pipe turns up, but now there isn't usually a dump like before, more often is a very loud chatter sound, any idea why?
