no it needs to vent to air or it will cause a vacuum in the tank again

the purge valve is there to open the charcoal filter to suck the vapore into the inlet and to get burn so it not released into the air if your tank sucks in air when you open it it means it not venting something is wrong the only way the air is suposed to vent is through that filter so its got to be the valve is faulty or the filter is blocked.

ratio are very close and the box is out of a corolla G6 1.3 or G6R 1.6 the 1.6 needs a differnt bellhousing for it to fit but will worth the effort when its fitted

intake temp sensor it in the front of the inlet mani i'll geta pic later to point it out it more on the driver side

it means the purge valve isnt working or the charcoal filter is blocked its a black plastic cylinder onthe bulk head on the passengers side under the bonnet about the size of a tin of beans just disconnect the bigger pipe that comes from under the car as there are two and it will stop vacuuming.

fitting the fmic will lower the boost slightly so prob even it self out

dont leave the pipes disconnected in the engine bay block them off or plug the valve back in, if you leave it disconected it will cause problems

its the n/a which have a air temp sensor there the turbos have it on the mani

That sensor, is not a sensor! its a perge valve for the charcoal filter which basicly stops the fumes from the fuel tank going to atmosfear its not important and it wont make you use more fuel. I binned my charcoal filter as it wasnt working. Basicly causing a vacuum in my fuel tank, when i went to open the filler cap loads of air sucked in!

Well i solved it it was leaking from the hotpipe to the next pipe thought it was tight last nite but when i checked in the light/day time today it had a big gap round the back of the pipe all seeled up now and boosting back at about 8psi without adjusting the actuator, also bumper cut up to allow for a snug fit i'll update my thread when i've taken pictures

been driving my car for what 5days now with the 6speed Box in and just today relised i got given A trd short shifter with the kit and i didn't even know till I seen the comparison between standard and trd shifter on ep91.com WOOP WOOP!!! just thought i'd let you lot know.

today i fitted my fmic kit, now it drives and pulls fine but sound compleat different very loud whistle, bov's not as loud when dumping and its boosting at 5-6psi. with top mount it was up at 8-9.5psi does this sound about right or have i got a boost leak on one of the pipes. i expected some boost loss due to a bigger intercooler core and more piping Thanks

Gutted mate do you not have ct9 setup to put on for now till you sort out the td04 stuff, serious though well gutted for you i know you spent loads of time and money on the forged one now!

they look alright them wheels now mate, well done! well worth the trip for ya! you still coming trafford meet so I can see them in on the car? for my old wheels on my gt4 i made my own centers, the original ones were similar to the ones off them wheels, what i did was get some perspex and cut them to the correct size then I was going to get a GT4 logo made out of vinyl (i know someone with a cutter) then stick it to the centre and engrave it out with a dremel (which i never ended up doing because i didnt have the car long, then paint em the same colour as the wheels. I've still got the them somewhere!
