  5. Right then guys with the continual push from all at Uksc we have set an account esp for events and donations! All donations will go towards club facilities at shows and the maintenance and growth of these for the future! For the time being all donations can be made to ukscevents@yahoo.com. In the future i will be adding donations in different dinominations to the icomece shop as well as setting up ticket purchases and other items like the JAE t-shirts! All donations are very welcome and much appreciated by all at UKSC and these funds will be used for the benefit of everyone who attends shows with the club. I would also like to thank all who have donated in the past and those who donate in the future with out these donations this awesome club wouldnt be where it is today! Thanks again From all at UKSC!

  13. Installment 2 Today I started today by finishing painting the front 2 arches and the underneath! After that I cracked on with a new n/a cooling panel mock up needs a little tweaking but not bad! After that it was time to get the cat back in ready fit the Mot and to if the back pressure makes a difference! Next jobs! 1) powder coating, front and rear arb's and rollcage 2) fit rear beam and braided lines. 3) polybush front arb and wishbones Rob
  14. Why paint drums when I have a glanza rear beam to go on! Along with some ZEP braided lines! Installment 2 coming tomorrow!
  15. Right then just a small update! It's that time again to get the rays all wrapped up! I've also been meaning to re-paint the arches for a while as there was a small patch in each front arch where the paint had rubbed off with the wheels on full lock so seen as I've got a couple of days off I decided to attack it! I started by getting the car jacked up nice and high and removed all the wheels the removed the inner arches at the front and the guards at the back the jet washing each arch thouroghly the removed any rust then painted with silver hammerite! So far I've done both rear arches will get the fronts done tomorrow and a few bits underneath! Then I'll get the soeedys back on fir winter motoring! Before After While I was at it I've removed the rear arb to go away to be powder coated! Rob
  16. some stuff is already sold by the club shop but i dont know if that generates any income! sorry for the delay in replying here its been a busy weekend!! There are some fantastic ideas above some have been spoken about before others havent!! To keep the club moving forward we need to keep the club profile growing getting the "brand" out there! all clubs need to generate income to keep things moving forward peolpe dont always see how much shows like JAE to put on!! for exaple this years stand alone cost £72 just the stand the marquee was another £100 on top then the geni and lights etc it all stacks up to alot of money!! To move forward to a sturdier more robust marquee ie a metal pipe and join construction with a tarpaulin outer you talking circa £500 a bigger geni with enough power to run lighting music etc ie some thing like a 3.5kva or bigger is another £500!! i know people have possible access to geni's but what if there not coming could we still use the geni?!?! but even with all this how do get it all there ive said this before and ill say it again we drive starlets they are designed for shopping not setting up a show! Peolpe say they have access to vans but do they really want to drive a van to collect all the stuff then drive to the show rather than driving there car down?!?! Van Rental would be £150-200 for the weekend + fuel!! Then someones got to drive it down which could be done but its all money to pay for it! All this for show after so this is something which need to be sustainable! for example a raffle could only be done once in a blue moon other wise traders wouldnt donate! A selling tax would be a great idea but like G said im not sure how we would immpliment this!! Something we have done in previous years is add a couple of £'s on to the advanced ticket price to help cover club plots but with not everyone buying advanced tickets it wont cover all of it! so for next years JAE i intend to make it advance ticket only will be guarenteed a space! sorry for the ramblings got alot spinning in my head! Rob
  17. Cheers guys hope to have some more updates soon! Rob
  18. yea ive been looking at setting up a seperate uksc paypal so it doent get confusing with my paypal!! so a uksc fund would be no issue with that!
  19. just been looking in to this as ive started to strip the spare lower arms ive got. Does it not make more sense to just buy the whiteline droplimk kit?!?! buying the droplinks and polybushes seperate always costs more that £30 whichever ones you get!!
  20. Thats right boys and girls the provisional dates have been released for JAE 2011 at Wicksteed Park. 9-11 September 2011 The dates for the reps meeting have been anounced too so im goint to try and get it off work thi year so i can get down and book us the best possible spot!! Hope to see you all there!! For the time being any donations to be sent to the paypal address ukscevents@yahoo.com eventually i will set the icomerce up for donations and tickets etc! Thanks Rob
  21. i have a full rear beam spare too but both calipers need new seals as there a bit sticky been trying to get a price on them to no avail!!
  22. My view was it's actually easier to refurbish all the parts including the beam to make it all new! But I'm replacing the suspension at the same time!
  23. I'm doing at the mo but I'm doing it with a late glanza rear beam zep braided lines and new pads and the used discs and its cost. Rear beam £150 New pads £10 Zep lines £100 Might have an option for you though leave it with me! Rob
  24. Don't worry Phil it will be orange! just need to make the additions then get it coated!
  25. Depends if you go full rear beam or just calipers and carriers with new discs! Full rear beams usually go for about £80-150 depending on condition and what year car they came off! Standard lines or braided? All makes price differ.
