Ignore my hurried babble earlier it just 2 piston rings that have failed. from the advert 60k miles.piston rings have gone in two pistons. ideal for a forged rebuild head sounded sweet not exessive taping or rattles. Info:i was going to rebuild the engine myself but have got rid of the starbo so need it gone.comes with altenator and powersteering pump.dissy cap aswel. Yea already got a loom stashed away that will take care of the majority of wiring issues but im not worrying about that at the mo!! Just wondered if it would save time in the long run. Buying a running engine it will only need rebuilding at some point in the future so it would only end beingdoen once its been in the car for a bit was thinking to do it now why i have the time. Allowing for the gasket set and getting it skimmed and checked out its. belts are service items so ive already factored that in as well as filters etc!! ill have a ponder!!

Hey guys just after a bit of advice!! been looking at a 4efte to rebuild to put in the sr found one stupidly cheap that has had 2 pistons fail just wondering how much people think it would cost to do a standard ish rebuild? so i know if its worth ift or not or if in the long term its going to be cheaper to buy one that runs?? just checked this on the way home. Mine reached just over 60 on the speedo in 2nd and wasn't at the limiter, and i know from the sat nav my speedo is 3mph out at 60.

one stand sounds like a good idea to me. I prob wont be able to get over till sat pm as its my birthday on the friday. Not sure if the powers that be on tgtt will allow it though but ill send starlet babe a pm and see.

i use some rather large micro fibre cloths but having tried a small waffle weave cloth ill be investing in a larger version in the future!!! liam you fancy combining some orders? save on postage?? bill any chance of you wangling us some discount??? lol @ Phil the thought of a blade makes me shudder
