mrkd5916 replied to mrkd5916's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust

just looked on mine and the one with the arrow is a vent and doesn't need to plumbed in to any thing, have a look on the back of the controler as it might need to be switched over to run a actuator, hope this helps -
right after 1500 miles on my new engine and trax the car is looking better then ever, heres a pic of the car on track and i do have video of it but i havent seen it yet so i hope it ok when i get it now a week later its started to leak oil from the oil pump which i think is a seal gone which isnt to bad,

-

-
pass mate, i saw you over take some guy on the coner, then on next coner you were sideways !
-
no but i saw you get it sideways lol

right get a new bolt, and a tap and die set, and recut the threads before trying to bolt it back together! also empty your pm box!
-
i just rubbed them down with wet and dry and just use normal primer then a cost of paint, and sparky its wicked!!!
-
you dont need any head work but it all helps, and if you run a td04 on a std 5e that would be nuts! i dout there would be any engine lag, but i dont know of any one that has run std 5e pistons with a tdo4
-
yes there is, as far as i understand the 5e pistons have a +3cc dome on the top of the piston, which would give you a higher compression ratio, if you up the compression ratio you redues the engine lag, so to drive it off of boost, would feel like a n/a car,
-
you can just put pistons in, i think id works demo car was running std pistons but then it up to you how much money you want to spend! and i dont but there loads of info on the site about the 5e
-
look for the 5efe or the 5efhe engines, i think the 5efhe have got a better cams tho, and 5e pistons will fit in a 4e but the rods are longer in the 5e,
-
that a good reason to not break this car ! your so close fella dont stop now! did you sort out the brakes?
-
i think it to do with miss banzai,
-
right its back on the road and i have already racked up over a 100miles on the new engine! with no problems so far! i have only took it up to .4 of a bar of boost to start with and let the engine wear in before going nuts. i was hoping to do a oil change around 200 to 250 miles as then it should be getting there by then, once again i got to say a big thank you to AJ for the mot and all the help to get the car this far, all i can say is i owe you big time!
