if you can then you will know if the capliers are working ok, then see if the cable is fitted as there some clips that might have come off,
-
yeah good do the brakes work when you move it???
-
right cool have you check the brakes worked when you moved the arm that connects to the hand brake cable? as this could be stuck, sorry if this sounds patronising but i just trying to think what it could be as there not much that can go wrong on the handbrake set up,
-
right lets start working this out it got to be some thing simple! do the rear brakes work when you press the pedal?
-
why would you need pads and disc dude???????? the pads should be able to wear right out to the metal,
-
have you wound all the pistons back? checked that you haven't got air in the brake line? checked the cables are all free moving?

mrkd5916 replied to Jamie1st's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
it just tightens up to the block, no washer, -
what would be the best way to send a set of wheels and tyres????
-
right with money being tight as i need to get the car back on the road i had a go at painting my wheels how they looked when i got them last month and now in black they do look good in black but i am not 100% sure i like them yet,
-
its not to bad to do it just finding the parts
-
you cant just change the rack as the steering column will be too short, you will have to find a starlet with non pas, and take the steering column out change the center of the columns over ( held in by a c clip at the top) as the non pas column is longer,

the bottom end is done!! it came back to today and i cracked on with building the engine up! pistons and rods in ready to replace the crank in with new main and big end bearings the short block and gear box fitted in with out the head as it easyer to fit with out a engine crane then the head with the inlet and turbo kit bolted on placed in then torque down, cams, and timing belt all refitted ready to go, right i have primed the engine by turning it over once tonight but i will have to do the again tomorrow before i start it up, the to do list isnt to bad to finish off the engine now

i have a set of standard wheels here if you want a set cheap, and the switches have some thing to do with the shift points on the auto box, sort of like a sports mode, please correct me if i am wrong tho,
-
sparky i got a early morning track time for sale if your intressed?
-
i gave £600 for my glanza with a blown engine, but it was a auto tho,
-
to fit power steering you would need steering rack pipe plus the pump power steering collum brackets to hold the rack brackets for the power steering pump, i think thats it, but its easyer to find some one that want to remove the power steering and swap the bits over,
-
i walked in the door tonight, to find my lovely dad had seen that i had a package form PEC and then desided to shreaded the box because he had worked out that it was my con rods. so by setting the dog on him, i managed to nick the rods back of him and fit the pistons on to the con rods and the piston rings tonight, and they should be dropped of at the machine shop to be fitted in to the block tomorrow the first one done all ready to go and be fitted in to the block!!!!!!!

-
yes you can upgrade the master cylinder i think there about £100 upwards but i would not like to say if it would help much unless you upgrade to some like the wms kit or wilwood kit, do you still have abs?
