  1. Reckon this one would be a good one to enter Well, I'd vote for it anyhoos
  2. Me also Talking of which, looks like a nice base to start from
  3. Good to see parts making their way way onto the car Got an rough idea of when abouts she'll be finished?
  4. I suggested a GT, but he said no as doesn't like hatchbacks particularly Will re-suggest it though Shall get someone at the meet on Friday to take him for a spin in a GT, see what he thinks
  5. If you're already planning on a GT, would it not be better to just save your money and have more to spend on the GT?
  6. No lol Tis for my friend Josh (don't know if you've met him before, has a green Civic Saloon). He's supposed to be coming to Medstone though Also though an AE111 Levin/Trueno would fit the criteria, but not suggesting it, as it'll make me remember mine if he got one
  7. That's a possibility Just put up (sensible) suggestions and I'll throw them all at him later
  8. Space isn't really an issue no Only really needs to fit the criteria mentioned in the first post And yeah, MR2 and IS200 are completely different, but they both look nice and are quicker better equiped than what he has now, and reliable (as far as we know anyways)
  9. Would getting a standalone or piggyback ECU set up well not be able to widen the powerband? (just a stab in the dark as don't understand that aspect of modifying much) Joz is right though, the 5e is much more of a midrange engine Just for reference, my car with TRD panel filter and catback exhaust had peak torque at 3000rpm and peak power at 4800rpm
  10. Aloha guys A friend of mine is planning to change his car in the very near future, but is having trouble thinking of what to get. He's been driving a 1.5 Civic Saloon for the past year, but now fancies something a bit nicer/quicker The criteria for the new car is -Not too hefty on insurance as will be 20 with 1 years ncb -Coupe or Saloon shape car -Less than 10 seconds 0-60 -Reliable, so most probably Japanese Has a budget of about £3000 I've currently suggested a non turbo MR2, and he's though of maybe an IS200 Any other suggestions guys? All input welcome
  11. Don't have a favourite pic of my car yet, as the car isn't good enough yet Although I do quite like this pic (has been lowered since)
  12. Can't say really but should think they'd be fine? My shocks were all brand new when the springs went on so can't really say how they fare over time As for the drop, tis enough, but am still able to get over speed bumps fine (although have caught the exhaust tip once or twice on the bigger bumps)
  13. Got same combo on my Paseo (uses same suspension as the Starlet) here's a before and after lowering pic for reference They handle a fair bit better than standard setup (less leaning round corners and less leaning forwards and backwards as you accelerate and brake) but retain a good level of comfort (not too harsh)
  14. Riko's quite busy with uni work and so on, and as such isn't online much. Plus as said by Sam he's not in the country all year round anyways
  15. So you're willing to fall out with your girlfriend for the sake of looking at another girl for a few hours at most.....? Talk about priorities :surrender:
  16. Been monitoring the JAE forum also as doing the PaseoClub stand Seems there's complications with Essex Council or something daft like that (not entirely sure but that's the gist I get from skimming through a few threads)
  17. I was expecting the 4x4 to flatten the guy standing on the top of the rock
