  1. They will take a LOT of work to fit a GT too. My brother spent ages getting his ET28 Sparcos to completely stop rubbing. Mine has ET10. In answer to your question via PM, yes they are a pain in the ass and no they probably will never stop annoying you! Worth it in the end though! Ps. Wider front fenders help loads. My front don't rub with the wings I have but the rears do.
  2. Cheers Micky, means a lot! Sure you will see it at some car shows this summer.
  3. The needle isn't calibrated... at all! I'll get on to it when I'm next working on the car! Cheers guys!
  4. Is your FMIC really bent or is it just me?
  5. Thanks for the compliments guys! The waste gate has no vacuums because I don't yet have a boost controller fitted, I should have one arriving soon though. It's the final part needed to have the car ready to drive, apart from the bodywork.
  6. The Toms bumper is for a Mark 1, you can tell by looking at the foglight holes. It still looks better though but as above, only if you have the rest of the kit.
  7. They're a great addition, get some bought! Some pictures progress. AEM wideband kit arrived My mate fitted the gauges while I fettled with the bodywork. He also got the indiglo dials fitted. Excuse the horribly messy interior. I've decided to fit the bodykit and start driving the car to get some miles on the engine. I'll paint the parts whenever I get time for each one. I don't have enough time to paint it all yet so it's just delaying the project further! A little tester/teaser The bonnets bolted on now, I need to get some aero catches ordered for it. Next to go on should be the front bumper.
  8. Best of luck Liam!
  9. That looks horrible, the whole black theme is dated for these cars imo. If it was all green it may have looked okay.
  10. Ditto, they won't hold their value. I'd much rather spend the money on an Audi S3. They are awesome cars though! My old Uni mate had a brand spanker in green at the start of 2010. His dad had an injury at work and got paid out £750k so it was a 'treat' for him!
  11. How did I miss this?! Amazing build!
  12. Ditto, plans do sound good and the spoiler would finish the rear off perfectly.
  13. Use the compound you have.
  14. Looks ace!
  15. Cheers folks! Some more new bits TM-D Indiglo Dials Black Race gauges - Boost, Oil temp, Water temp. I thought I ordered Prosport gauges (from Spec-R) but these turned up. They are identical to the Prosport peak series oil pressure gauge I have so I may just keep them instead of getting a refunding and sourcing Prosports elsewhere.

    HEAD BOLTS!!!

  17. Finally, some progress on the Honda. The engine was smoking quite badly due to suspected piston rings, just what I was told by the previous owner but I never carried out a compression test to confirm - it could have been the stem seals. After weeks of searching, I got my hands on a low mileage B16A2 (65k) so we set about fitting that this weekend. Looking sorry for herself, months of dust gathered. This is how the engine looked for a while as I removed and sold the cylinder head a while ago. An engine crane made things a lot easier for us. New engine.. We inspected the clutch and it appears to have covered very little mileage, I'd say less than 5k which a bonus. In we go! The original valve cover was in good condition but I still had the old yellow one sitting around so that was fitted after a quick clean up. Just a few touches before we can get her running, ie. Driveshafts, manifold and exhaust.
  18. Indeed, they are awesome cars. Sold mine last week though, replaced with an Audi A3 as the insurance was costing too much!
  19. I'm almost certain that people use a 38>51mm pipe to relocate the air filter. It is a very tight fit though, the size was 42mm when I measured it with a ruler a few years ago.
  20. That's awesome! A bargain too if it's a minor problem!
  21. The ECUs do not adjust the boost level, you will need to turn the boost up with an actuator or boost controller, and the ECU will then fuel it.
  22. I hope they sort it out for you mate.
  23. No worries dude, didn't mean any offence! Just thought I'd make it look a bit better for you. Your spelling wasn't bad anyway, only 1 or 2 mistakes.
  24. Titled: Quality of Leads Dear Sirs, I have recently purchased a set of your racing ignition leads for an EP91 Toyota Starlet Turbo (clip type) 8.5mm. I have fitted these leads one time to my vehicle. I removed the king lead from my car to test on a 2nd vehicle to make sure the 2nd vehicle was working correctly. However while removing the lead from the 2nd vehicle the pin which goes into the coil pack broke out of the silicone lead. I attempted to put the lead back together and re-fit it to the 1st car - after I did this the car was badly misfiring (it was perfectly fine before hand). As the car was running (misfiring) i went to make sure that all the leads were fitted correctly and got a bad electric shock. I am concerned for 2 reasons: 1. The ignition leads cost me £90 and I have used them for around 200 miles and fitted them as described above and they fell apart. How can the quality of these leads be up to the standard quoted in your product information "committed to quality"? 2. Most importantly - I would say that the fact that I managed to get an electric shock from the lead which is quoted to "suppress EMI indefinitely" suggests that this cannot be correct and infact renders the leads dangerous. I await your response to my comments and I can also provide pictures if necessary. Yours Faithfully, Edward Hale
