Rear Strut Without Trimming / The Great Strut Debate
FreedomCore replied to FreedomCore's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Ok so ill probably have to trim regardless. But while i have your attention. What does everyone think of the Ultra Racing strut? Was considering getting it and maybe painting it up in something darker than white. More like Black. =] -
Is this gt expensive for what it is?

It's so simple! It has to work. But I don't know if I like the look of it. -
Rear Strut Without Trimming / The Great Strut Debate

I saw that one. The only problem is that the bolts on the top mounts are reversed on the N/a. I sadly discovered this after buy a Glanza 3 point strut. -
Does anyone know if there are any rear struts for N/A's that wouldn't require trimming or removing the trim? If none, then minimal trimming. So far ive looked at a few different Cusco's and a Ultra racing one. The Ultra Racing one looks most promising.

You do make a convincing point. I suppose ill leave it for a while and see.
-
I am interested. How much did you want for it?
-
Works fine on the Nexus 4
-
I know its only really extra weight. But i want the inlet to remain secure. Its obviously not urgent but would give me piece of mind.
-
Im looking for the centre bracket on the intake mani. A Glanza inlet to be more precise. the N/A one is abit too big.

Made me laugh trying to read that. Seems a bit dodgy to me though, I mean he changed his number like 3 times and then said how to fix the car and that it is cheap to do. If he loves it so much then why doesn't he do it? And did anyone else notice the bad grammar? -
Yeah worked a treat. The car feels a bit more responsive. Or that could just be me. Wasnt hard to install either. Hardest part is reaching some of the nuts.
-
I used my n/a tb on a Glanza inlet so i wouldnt see why not. And i dont think i used anything other than abit of silicone hose to replace the old one that comes out the rocker.
-
Gave the rocker a splash of paint today. And a big thanks to Dean for the nice new stainless nuts.

It wouldn't be impossible to mod. You just have to cut through the welds and weld them on backwards.

Pm'd back

Could it be to do with data consumption? Like saving you mb's.

I have literally no idea what you're talking about. But no i didnt use gasket seal. Just new gaskets.

Sorry man but i would rather not split them.
-
Would you be willing to split me a front set though?
-
If i get what youre saying, then it will be on the loom that you will need.
-
I imagine you'll probably get them along with the mirrors. But I have a spare switch you can have for a few quid if you find yourself needing one.
-
Well if you take off the window trim along one of your doors then you should hopefully see a white unoccupied socket near the wing mirror. To remove the trim. Remove the internal trim off the wing mirror. Pop the door card clips but you shouldnt need to remove it. There will be 2 clips you need to remove. One on either end of the window trim. To remove, turn them a little then pull them out. Next unscrew the one screw in the door handle and slide it out of place The trim should pull up. Just dont move it about too much as you could damage the door handle mechanism. And you should hopefull

I had this problem too. You should check to see if you have the looms in your doors too.
