it HAS to be said this way. WHAT A FUCKING BUILD had a complete read through but i'm unsure, i know you started it off by adding a turbo onto the 4efe still running the high comp pistons but on going td04 and removing block again did you use gt pistons and rods or go for forges or did you keep n/a pistons?

got the crank out today had to knock the woodruff key in a little so the crank pulley and alloy plate could come forward a little so the crank could lift out so crank is now out tony (family friend) is going to make up a pulley puller to get the pulley and plate off the crank.

got the actuator before i decided to do the rebuild and before deciding on going with an external wastegate.

thats what we thought at first but you can't get a pulley puller behind. Tony was saying something about some pulleys have holes to put some pullers into to get off but their are no holes on the crank pulley on the gt either.It feels like the casing is just silliconed on so maybe its just a case of prying till it frees. we'll get it eitherway

ok peeps heres some of my recent progress on my forge build. this next pic i have outlined a slight problem we're having, the oil pump pulley and crank pulley in this pic have some sort of alloy plate at the back of them that goes over the crank and it seems to be stopping us lifting the crank out any ideas welcome.as the other side (gearbox side)has a similar plate going over the crankshaft oil seal it has four bolts and came off easily and that side of the crank is lifting out with no problems.

can't agree more with joz here as my nephew passed his test last week (yes i said nephew lol)passed first time also only got on the road friday night there and crashed and wrote his car off 3 hours later he is ok hurt pride i'm guessing lol going to take great pleasure in slating him lol. so be careful but i know you will.

i know what you mean shell thats working with the public for you some can be right twats,i work in a petrol station and some of the rejects you get comin in you really want to slap and tell them to get a grip. don't know will probably crank it to 1.3 not heard of how much maximum boost the hybrids can handle will wait and see nearer the time in all honesty i'm happy with reachin 220-230 horses thats the aim for it.

yes it was lee i got it from. only going to run it at a bar till the engine has been ran in and even that it wont be giving full beans on a bar for at least 500 miles.

Thought it about time to update this as i aint done it in ages.As most of you know the gt has been off the road due to a rebuild and forging it ;) .the engine is now finally out here is the progress. engine out engine wrapped up here is some of the parts i have aquired for it so far greddy emanage external wastegate GT spec hybrid ct9 HKS actuator Speedvision 330 injectors Autobahn manifold Blitz 2 bar boost gauge samco fm relocation pipes got my money for the forges sitting waiting so the traders on here will be getting some pm's in the next week. more goodies to come

i think what gaz means is that the 323 gtr looks very much like an ep82, and i want one also 323 gtr's are very nice and there aint many about either which is a plus.

well my gt wont be ready for a few months yet as its getting a respray plus working like a slave to get money together to finish it off will all be worth it though. then when it is we'll arrange another scottish uksc meet don't think you've been to one yet have you.

i was over talking to marc wasn't there in my gt as i'm forging it at the mo was there in my mates hyundai accent (shuh don't tell anybody lol) you stopped right in front of it.We were parked next to the lotus esprite you were talking to marc then he spotted me and came over to talk to me.Then you disappeared.
