I have just discovered a really annoying rattling noise coming from the engine bay. Sometimes it doesnt rattle and othertimes it rattles really badly! I think i have found the problem and it could be coming from the Alternator as this seems to be the part which is vibrating excessivley! Also there is a high pitched squeek from the alternator whilst under load like doing a window up of lights turning on Has anyone had this or anyone know what it could be rattling agains so i can stop this noise as it gets very irritating!! Cheers

Its just clicked, i knew the guy who used to own that starlet as i used to live in margate too, Phil gooby?? Now drives a silvia in white. I saw your starlet up at lydden BHP show, i was up with Project-Carz. Must say the Starlet still looks the dogs dangleys mate! :harhar:
