Had this problem for a while now, Car pulls very hard in lower gears and the hesitation is hardly noticeable (Only because i know its there), However say im in 3rd 4th or 5th, the problem is obviously very obvious, Boost doesnt drop, but the car just holds back, then once it hits just over 6k all hells breaks loose and pulls to 8k Its strange, goes like stink to like 5k, slows down, then goes like mad again Tryed new plugs, Cleaning my trd leads, new kinglead, cleaned dizzy and rotor arm. All the above are clean, but im starting to think theres something ignition related somewhere. Spec is 1b

Best thing to do micky is buy a wideband, get the td04 kit fitted and then have a play, see what readings you get, if its a bit lean just get a FPR. Thats all im going to do when i change the turbo, Im pretty sure it will fuel them as they run very rich on the ecus!

Fair enough, I just dont want to go from something too quiet too something way too loud lol

How loud is the Buddyclub mate? As above i have the HKS system and its too quiet for my liking, However i dont want something thats antisocial lol, Or droney etc? The centre silencer on mine has a few dings, but nothing major and it has no blows, its in VERY good nick

The thing inside your heater box man! Remove that and tape up all the holes. make sure you leave the filters in though

Most probably plugs, but check all your leads and dizzy, inside they corrode and can cause this problem

My hks silent hi power is a little bit too quiet for my liking, could do with being a tad louder, it takes all the rasp etc out of it!

Best way i found when fitting my recaros was a hacksaw lol. Straight through the middle, then the pin pops out the feet leaving a nice bolt shaped hole. Bolt to new rails, Wallah. Obviously not that easy on all seats lol

What boost did you run it at phil? If it was mapped to 1.2 bar on a TD04 and you ran say 0.8, Yes its not an ideal setup for your car but it would still run okay if a little on the rich side. Sounds like it has been out on the timing, Or been very lean to cause that much heat. If it still turns over its hopefully just the rings...
