  1. Cheers mate, Certainly clean! And i cant wait on a dyno run. Had another play tonight And wound the boost to 0.6, AEM Wideband is reading better than it was on the CT9 , Pulls harder than the CT9 at 1.1bar, fuck loads more torque on and off boost, pulls alot harder in higher gears where the ct9 was shite, Full boost by 3k. Honestly cant believe how amazing it is, Cant stop driving it, And dont know why people dont use this turbo! Car is in a completely different league, Feels effortless power, the whole package and just enough lag. TT
  2. Shit man thats bad news:/ Cant be anything engine wise though as it wouldnt just cut out if it was mechanical!
  3. Thanks guys, Got a few photos off the buildup here. Also painted the full front end, Makes it look a bit fresher! Took about 9Hours in total, Had to faff on making brackets for my intercooler, Radiator and actuator, And messed on with the intercooler piping so i succesfully fitted a HDI Cooler without trimming the bumper at all! (Does flex the bumper slightly mind) Quick update on the speclist also now i have my new parts! 1999 Glanza V Optional Wind Deflectors Optional Cupholders Optional mat kit Optional window tints Front and Rear Cusco strutbraces (Very rare!) HKS Silent HiPowe
  4. Turbokit and everything is finally on, massively chuffed and its first drive was awesome, even at 0.4Bar! Full boost appears to be 2800-3000, ( with a slack actuator!!) Cant wait to crank the boost up, Afrs are perfect so far TT
  5. You worry far to much alex! Lol There mint results
  6. Thanks mate, and mani is braced, need to brace the decat at some point! Mani brace should be fine anyway
  7. You could say a semi rebuild, replaced the large o rings on the turbo core, chemically cleaned the core, ported and opened up each side of the compressor housing, then gasket matched the turbine housing and cleaned/ ported the wastegate and the rest. Full chemical clean again, polished then reassembled. Piece of piss to do and quite fun!
  8. Another little update, Finally got the rest of the kit so got it all bolted up to see how it looked, Also fully stripped and chemically cleaned the turbo, and give it a light porting. Think it looks rather smart! As soon as this snow fecks off its going on... I cant wait! Comments welcome as always TT
  9. Be aware these are only the Euro ones so are not as tight as the Jap ones and the side bolsters are a LOT lower, Good if your above 34" Waist lol
  10. GET MY NAME DOWN Lol, If its as good as ryan says and can hold on to him driving it for a bit i want one/NEED one. TT

TT
  12. @starletburkie, a mineral oil is better to run an engine in, a good fully is too good to run an engine in and doesnt help seat the rings etc and can cause a "slow" engine in the future. Bang mineral in it, run it in quite hard and use the rev range, dont baby a forged lump imo!
  13. How is the comma stuff socks? Always rated it but never ran it in my Glanza, Seem like good stuff and where do you get it from? Thanks

  16. VF35s are fantastic, IMO and many others its the best turbo for upto 360Brake on a EJ20, And upto 400lbft of torque, My dads car runs one at 340brake and 390Lbft, And it spools mabye 300rpm later than a td04, But on a different setup (IE Manifold,Downpipe,Full exhaust and a map. It made the TD04 look small TBH, Epic turbo and it pulls alllll the way to the redline from bang on 3k, While the TD04 Was okay from 2700rpm or so, And died at 5k, Epic turbo but probably useless on a starlet unless running 1.6bar Plus!
  17. Shedloads over here still from early in the week and its just starting again, lowest temp was today at -11, Seriously stupid cold and working on cars in that is awful:/
  18. Thanks mate, And yeh they have divided a few peoples opinions but i think you need to see them in the flesh to appreciate them Get finding me some then bro:P And Lol you so need them, Makes you realize how shite standard ones are when you use these Thanks matey Cheers, And yeh so am i its slowly vacating my bedroom floor and making its way onto my car hahaha Thanks dude, And it aint no TD04, Read above:P And thanks drongo, Cant wait till its all on! TT
  19. What type of heatwrap is that dude? Is it suitable for manifolds or are you just going to find out? Lol Im debating doing mine!
  20. No dude that happens when you remove the assist valve or whatever its called is removed, Like wooden pedal feeling lol Looking forward to seeing the dyno graphs with the new setup Matt
  21. Looks like its going to be bonkers lol, Does nobody do custom gearsets for these boxes? Maktrak or similiar i think there called that do rally boxes?
  22. Is it mainly when your at low speed? Topmounts can creak on them. Worth greasing them to death before fitting them
  23. Thanks Si, Glad to be putting the parts on it, Making it more of a beast like the donor car the bits came from! And yeh i know, where do you find them? Is it them silvertec bulbs or whatever?
