  1. Ahaha thanks jord, was a quality day though! Gutted i cant get down for the next one! And yeh if you could mate. You sorted yours yet?
  2. Yeh the info on there is a lot better! Seen the testimonial page? 820hp one guy is supposedly running! And yes there is 2 type AFAIK, Ones like the evo which are a banjo bolt just tapped into an oil gallery, then the similair type with one bolt to secure it and a seperate bolt for the feed. And true but i think if the research is done and there not just drilling blind it should be good to go, How where you going to do yours? And its temperature isnt it, the supra one i found gave a graph of how much it affected the temperature etc. All the modern diesels run them and if they block up on a
  3. Yessss thats a win then. And i thought the crank was of a better quality like the 4EFTE Vs 4EFE, the FTE Crank being better? Same as 5EFE Vs 5EFHE, the FHE Crank being of a better finish etc? And yeh im going too, specs will be kicking about somewhere are they not?
  4. Thanks for that dude And yeh i have spent a fair few hours researching them, The hayabusa turbo lads really like them and run over 500bhp on them! Have yet to find a failure thread... And no im going to message them see if they do, if not i can grab some of the banjo bolt type ones out of a block at work, they should be simple to fit as long as there confident so i think im going to use them Found a very interesting thread on a supra forum regarding them but for the life of me cant find it lol You building your engine at the moment Adam?
  5. Rather nice update for this, Touch wood still running awesome on the VF24 And it seems plenty quick, AFRs etc perfect and its running A1 Big update is i managed to pick up a 5E For a £100 the other week and promptly began stripping it to a bare block. the first photos are when its clean and semi stripped, but it arrived complete just cut out of a car and had done 130,000 miles so was well ran in lol. took me a few hours and lots of TFR truck wash to get it how it was! It was mainly mega cheap as it was knocking when i heard it running and if you look through the photos you will see why lol. L
  6. Thanks adam, and they are from an early yaris diesel are they not? And think im getting some Pec or scat, but really want to try the maxspeeding ones!
  7. Lol your probably right adam, people will do some reading and sales will go through the roof! Im definetely buying some and that answers your question on the rods im getting lol If you message them they give you all the specs so i dont see why they arwnt in the listing! Message them there swutched on...
  8. Supposed to be very good strong rods these. If you do a bit of research into maxspeeding rods i bet you wont find one thread with a failure in it! All the maltese seem to use them also and even some of the jamaican threads about them. Only problem i saw which wasnt even a problem was maching on the caps for a rover 1.8t engine, a trader bought a load to test and said everything was perfect, balanced etc but he wanted the cap design changing, sent it back and got them all changed and now sells them with his own name on If you message maxspeeding and ask about the rover rods they give you the de
  9. Thanks man I will PM him Yeh if the rods have oil squirters I wont be fitting any. They are supposed to make a big difference but if they already there I wont use them And VF24 For the time being but the turbo will be upgraded in time. I Would rather build it once than pull it apart again later as im in rush! And yes that was my point, if its a deeper sump I will use that and the pickup, get it tapped and baffled and use that, seems to make sense TT
  10. Have a few ideas/questions milling round in my head at the mo regarding the 5EFTE, as im currently building one i want it to be perfect! The oil pressure issue is my first question, Do they suffer oil pressure problems due to the fact people use the 4e sump and pickup? is it a deeper sump or not? or is the 5E Sump and pickup a better option if i have an oil return fitted and have it baffled? If it holds more oil surely its an advantage? Secondly im considering fitting oil squirters, will there be a benefit from this and also would it be pointless if forged rods have the oil squirters/ways b
  11. No difference in the basic engine no but ideally i would prefer an auto engine as its usually in better nick!
  12. I used injector one so i can see my duty cycle, dont use throttle or rpm 2 though i dont think on mine. The guide is bang on dude, if you follow that and the right plug diagram you cant go wrong:)
  13. Sure there is like 146 threads about these tyres on here lol, Rainsports for all round, paradas for BONE dry anything else there useless, Proxies arent bad but all in all the rainsport is the best. Unless you can afford the like Of advan Neovas or Toyo R1Rs etc
  14. If it runs fine there will be nothing wrong with it as long as its been looked after! 1.2 bar CT9 isnt a lot of pressure... buy it if its clean!
  15. I think the massive Must have mod of the RARB Is a load of bollocks IMO. i have front and rear upper braces, newish balljoints and rubbers etc, BC Racing coilovers and a stripped out rear. On track it was quite oversteer happy, so i had to dial the suspension in to make it more neutral but it still wants to pull the backend round whenever you provoke it with No understeer. Fitting a RARB will surely make it even more prone to oversteer and make it feel shite! you dont get much rear roll with coilovers anyway...
  16. Yes you can use it but the runners are longer so will change the power curve a bit, making it a bit torquier. It also doesnt have the same amount of vacuum ports i dont think?
  17. Right lads whos up for meeting at the start of the whitby moor road, top of birkbrow?
  18. VF24s are the smallest impreza fitment VF turbos. Rare to come by and you cant rebuild them if they go wrong. Can be expensive too! Im running one and its properly mint, full boost on my standard engine is 3900, pull is savage!
  19. Bump Sorry for the people that posted on here and PMed, been mega busy lately but sorted all the starlet stuff out so its all good! Thanks for looking:) TT
  20. Sorry amjad i didnt, Piece of piss all you need to do is remove the piston with a windback tool, remove the clip holding the seal in, then give the inside a good clean and grease, dress the piston up a bit if needed, the rest of the seals just pop out on the sliders etc Doesnt take long at all! Nothing sinister it honestly just screws in and out on a rod lol
  21. Amjad do it yourself dude, i got a rebuild kit off idrees, and had new discs, pads, handbrake cables and the calipers rebuilt and fitted in about 5hours!
  22. On my way back now. Top holiday and what a class island, so much respect for the nutters doing 180+ through bends in beetween houses. One mistake and there gone no second chances! Police over here are brilliant also, no speedlimits on the mountain and 1 way over the TT weeks. Highlight was while driving the mental track was being overtaken like we were stood still when doing 120Mph by an R32Gtr, and a Impreza Sti and fast bikes giving chase. All with the police stood watching, and flying about in M3 cop cars taking part! Awesome
