Thats a bummer on the mirrors, have a feeling if you win the paypal dispute you will get to keep the mirrors and get your money back, comes out of a paypal pot of sorts, could be ideal situation!

Textile technologies do a wrap called magmawrap. Its on ebay i wouldnt use anything else! -

Some very interesting points here really, As soon as i get some money i will have one fitted, whichever my tuner prefers! What sort of price would you pay for a secondhand EMU? £500 With everything too expensive?

Another little update... Finally finished porting and polishing the cylinder head and lapped the valves in, Fitted the 4EFTE Springs and retainers and refitted the buckets i had in order. All uber free and clean, just needs an airline off where its been sat on the bench then it will be going on the block! Fitted new valve stem seals while i was on also On that note it should be back early sometime this week, so the race is on to get it back together with my new clear cambelt cover i have bought as well. Also got a few photos of the new R2D2 Dumpvalve, the custom front panel, the front bump -
Not a chance of fitting them without archwork mate! I had 15x7 ET25s and i had to heavily roll the rears, and also roll the fronts but it still caught a bit!

valve clearances, tappet adjustment and injector adjustment

They are manual shims matey, dont usually have to touch them really, injectors or idle control valve usually make a tapping/ticking noise. Unless theres any major noises i wouldnt worry! -
Big mistake spliiting the airbag spiral up lol thats scrap now mate, You have to remove all that, wire a horn up yourself and fit the boss kit as shown

I havent got a billet turbo dude i have a ported and polished VF24 I bought for £120 Lol The tuner quoted me many months ago about 1100 Fitted and mapped on an emerald, Wouldnt mind getting a new quote and see what he reccomends. I Am competent enough with wiring, is it a case of wiring a loom up yourself? And yeh heard off somebody before OMEX And AEM are the same software so that might be an option

Ahhh got that wrong then lol, a local tuner to me i trust can fit and map emeralds and a few others, Apexi as well but there old hat and i cant get hold of one really

Excellent point i suppose being the most important part! As above im not going for massive boost and power so i would probably keep the standard ignition etc, would just prefer the ability to get a proper map on it and be more precise than an Emanage Would settle for a Motec M400 Easily enough i suppose! Also what do people think of Emerald ECUs? The K3 for example? Thanks

Going for it... 4 year thread bump yes! Just got hold of one for cheap and want to go down the route photoed above. Supposed to be a good setup when the plenum is extended. Im aware the icv valve on the far left of the standard mani doesnt fit these, can i do away with this or will it not run correctly? And is there anything else you need to do? Thanks!

Properly coming on this now not often you see a well tuned rx8! What are the standard brakes like on these? Surely they cant be upto track use?

Bump on this. When my car is back on the road i will eventually want it mapping but still unsure on which ECU to go for. Minimum im thinking off is EMU Spec is Ported and polished head Fully forged 5E VF24 PNP Turbo And all the other usual supporting mods Will i have a decent setup on this if i use 3SGE Injectors (Pink or greens available) at around 1.4-1.5 Bar? Or is a standalone needed? Want to see 300bhp really Thanks
