  3. Bump for an absolutely epic turbo! Full boost is only a tiny bit later than a td04 if any with much more whack! Bargain!
  4. I was having this problem before my engine did this Not too scare anyone lol. Never got to the bottom off it but im sure it only started doing it after i fitted a civic rad etc....

  7. I know i wouldnt have minded so much if it happened a bit later but i still need a few bits for the build, will be pushed for money and i refuse to cut any corners when doing it! Car is having the full front end stripping down, struts brakes etc. All the ABS Sensors and charcoal filter, and anything else is being removed and the loom shortened, tucked and retaped/tidied up as im going along. Still need to source a crank pulley and having a nightmare! TT
  8. As above, a standard harmonic pulley or an alloy one please!
  9. Got a fensport one on the way... See what its like and im hoping with a balanced and lightened bottom end its going to be responsive!
  10. Still unsure on what to do with the pulley situation, Struggling to get hold of a decent 4EFTE Harmonic one as my current one is knackered. Surely all the engines that are made without one get away with it fine (5EFES And 4EFES Included) So im thinking it will be okay without it and fitting a lightened one...
  11. Thanks mate, And painstakingly with a dremel and a carbide bit lol... Need to flat it off a fair bit more then get the wet and dry on it, then some polish! Lmao i know proper job:/ And haha you know me ;) Do it once do it properly and all... All the engine parts arrived from ID Workz yesterday, so the block crank and everything rotating is off to machine shop to be polished, statically and dynamically balanced and a Lightened flywheel machined TT

  13. Thanks mate, All the plugs in the photo bar the coil pack one obviously lol can all go? No fault codes, engine lights or anything? If the car still ran i would unplug them and try it but can do that lol And all 4 plugs on the abs pump can go?

As above just on with the engine swap and i have time to go through all the plugs and tidy everything up, retape and rewire stuff if neccesary, Tried a search but to no avail about removing stuff Can i remove the standard glanza boost solenoid? Im wanting to cut the plug off and tape the loom up. Also when the ABS is coming out, can i remove all these plugs and do the same? And last of all the charcoal canister, when i have removed this im assuming people just put little one way breathers on like on motorbikes? and can i also remove the plug and little blue box and tape the loom up also
  15. Finally finished it mate, takes the piss mind lol. And they are 330s, They are 3SGE. I also have some of the 390cc Green ones if these are no good. Cracked on with a removing stuff today ready for refurbing/polishing etc etc And found another hole in the block along the way lol All the bits are ordered up courtesy of idrees, Should be one hell of a bottom end on this engine when its done! Here are a few pics Looking sorry for itself Before the stripdown Turbo Kit removed. Ideal time to fully port and enlarge everything on it while its off, Polish it all up
  16. Right another question now, Regarding timing I know most people use The 4E Marks (Especially when running lower compression) But do i want to use the 5E or 4E marks?? Thanks

  18. Thanks adam, And they look like a harmonic damper though, how can you just harmonically balance something? I thought harmonic ones are dampened? Confused i might ring them tommorow lol And i have never seen anyone replace them at the 30k interval, i wonder why you would have too?
  19. I was running about 240, 1.1 Bar on a VF24 Which is a fair bit bigger than a TD04. Dont get me wrong lower speed acceleration you will have them, But on a decent stretch of road they will get you.
  20. Overestimating starlets there im afraid mate. Yes power to weight matters but on a decent stretch off track you will not leave them behind As i said my mates is an 09 with an aggresive mapQuoted 315hp. I pulled away at first through 2nd 3rd and 4th but he wasnt miles away, second it was over 130-140 he was all over me, then started coming past. And yeh the ones to watch out for are remapped A3, Leon Golf 2.0Turbos, there the same engine and a lot lighter. You may be surprised trying to race one of these one day!!

Just wondering what peoples opinions are on here about the different pulleys you can get 4EFTES Have harmonic ones 4EFEs And 5EFEs have standard solid ones Is there any known faults of the engines failing with a normal pulley on if everything is balanced? Reason im asking is fensport do lightened harmonic ones here :http://www.fensport.co.uk/Parts/Model_40/Category_1/2311 There are various solid alloy ones which are light And i can also use my 4efte one and swap it onto my 5e when im building it PhilGts has a balanced bottom end on a standard pulley and its fine.
