Hate to say it but when I had the same problem it turned out to be piston rings, had good equal compression but had a sickly burnt oil smell and smoked a little. Not trying to worry you hopefully turns out to be a blocked breather or something simple. Have you actually taken of the exhaust downpipe or intercooler pipe to see if there's any oil laying in there or around the turbine blades? You don't need alot of oil to leak to notice it when it burns.

Used both and really like the build quality of the turbosmart units, but both hold boost great and never let me down.

I bought it along side a few other bits and saved the most money that way.

Had the same problem as Ollieh17 just received a genuine turbosmart from Aus with pec Australia for under £190 delivered, Brendan from pec kept in contact every step of the way. After going through all the hassle with fakes my advice would be do your research and if it seams to good to be true then it probably is.
