sorry to spam this, is the mani specially made or something? i have the evo kit as well, with a wastegate extension town the side of the engine and a small screamer.
-
i got mine last week, plate because me 350, but be careful as if your buying from anywhere but dvla you have to pay the transfer cost as far as i know (£80) i paid half because got it from a mate. also to retain it costs £105 quid a year. so its a rip if you keep changing cars etc
-
already got my kit so its gonna be the td now, ive got all my parts, so with any luck this weekend, ill have new engine bolted in, td04 blasting and by next week a nicely mapped emb

-
fair play tbh. think mine should be ok then at standard boost on td04? ive got a .7 bar external wg spring.
-
have you not got a rrfpr and fcd etc??
-
not cheap then lol it better be worth it after all the money im spending that i cant afford to spend lol anyone else?

just wondering how much going td04 has cost everyone with a rough total? i havent had much to do recently so been working out general cost. bearing in mind i already had fmic (no td04 pipework though) complete with putting a new head on my engine its looking to be a lot more expensive than i first thought. my wepr kit was 500 quid alone, ive already got a turbo and all water lines etc, so with completing my engine and getting it all mapped i think im looking on for about 1300 quid if not more, a lot more in fairness. along with maintenence of the car in general. just wondered what other p

http://www.turbosmartonline.com/index.php?s=downloads dunno what gate you have mate but if yuo click on the spring combination chart it tell s you what youd need. for 1.172 bar on a ultragate 38 you will need a 7psi inner spring and a 10psi middle. thats the closest to can get to 1.1 bar
-
ultragate 38 mate, the spring i bought cost me 17 quid delivered i think, not bad really.
-
i got one a couple of weeks ago, it came with a 14psi spring which is 1bar (or near as damn it) ive since bought a 10psi spring so its .7 bar. he told me on the phone that if you want to set your own boost level only by using a wastegate (eg not using ebc or mbc) you have a inner spring, a middle spring and a outer spring. to create 2 bar of pressure you would need to use a 14psi middle spring, and a 14 psi outer spring as they dont do a standard 2 bar spring. if you wanted to boost 1.7bar you could use a 14psi middle spring, and a 10psi outer and so on. i got mine from turbo dynamics,

the stormtrooper one? you didnt miss out mate lol
-
yeah it mate, exhaust fumes and tyre smoke, and there was blokes in there with little kids. good one really. some of the stuff inside was nice but the majority was wank, bootbuilds etc. not good and a complete waste of about 50 quid

did anyone else go to the indoor meet in huddersfield last night? the drifting etc? thought it was a shambles tbh, the drifting was quality, but it wanted to be after paying a 5er to park my car down a shitty alley way where no one could see it all night. and after driving 90 odd miles to get there as well, one nice looking car was a white yaris that was featured in fast car. cant member what it was called now but was nice. either way, ill not be going again lol

i do alot of spirited drving with no pins and its fine on standard clip, or has been for me. my catch is bolted through a bit of the bonnet underneath the visible area not glued on. yeah when you get up to motorway speeds it flexes a bit, but thats becuase its light material surely

throttle position sensor or more likely your idle control valve (sometimes known as stepper motor). this is the unit on the left hand side of the inlet mani as you look from front of car. it makes a ticking sound. there is a thread somewhere on how to take it apart and clean it. if theres not one on here theres definately one on tgtt's usefull info section
