From memory am sure its 7500 ATM. Aye it fair shifts but am to scared to look down at the speedo to see the speed ha. When its back up and running ill bang a wee dash cam in
-
To be fair I was much the same but the more I've been driving it I've found myself bashing off the limiter in 5th on my favourite stretch of road. I doubt I'd take it to 180 but kinda feel defeated when someone overtakes you purely because you don't have any gears left ha. I was chatting away to someone about people tuning there cars to break the 200mph barrier which would be a laugh in he starlet ha but aye would take billy big balls and a few bottles of nos ha.
-
And just changing out the 5th would increase the top speed to 180mph aswell?
-
See just doing 5th would be easier but can't decide if its worth going the whole shabang. Sounds dumb but is there any downfall to having long gears?
-
The d4d box would be a c53 Found in the 1.4 yaris and corollas?
-
The cars currently running just under 300bhp due to a wastegate issue but should be well above 350 when complete. It's got the stock box with a trd LSD in it atm. Gearboxes are something I've never touched before. I take it it would be a specialist to transplant the d4d internals into the c52 casing?.

Nah ull be fine with sanding the crank down just make sure you sand the new bearings down to match. Another top tip is rather than trying to torque the big ends down properly just pop a few cable ties on jobs a good un.

Well to cut it short the stock glanza gearbox just grates on me. First and second are over in a second and when playing with bigger cars you simply run out of gears above 150 or so and the other guy just pulls ahead. Having had a look around I understand the hrf ep82 ran a 5th gear from a diesel yaris giving it a top speed of 185mph. Just wondering if anyone can confirm what one this would be and how hard it would be todo. Or is there any gearbox better to us. I generally play around on country roads and coming off corners on to Long straights I get half way along and am bashing the limit

Am not gonna lie am 24year old man and I keep my nerf gun tucked begin the passanger seat in the glanza for late night drive bys should I spot any drunken friends walking

earthed the sheild today and if anything its coming on at lower rpms ha. anyway to test if its interference from the earth itself?
-
Surely because both cars are automatics you can go to a woman's only insurance company? There Normaly cheaper
-
I couldn't tell you to be honest I just swapped them out for the 550cc when I got to the rollers. And let the mapper do his thing. Pm on route
-
It was running 1.5 bar but the map was pretty poor to be honest these should see you well above 300bhp. Postage should only be a tenner
-
Yea that's my thought I've just made a new earthing kit today so plenty of bits to tap into. Here's hoping the weather holds out for me to get a crack at it
-
The sheild comes out a cm past the protective sheive so I'll test that tomorow. Worste case I'll possibly just buy a new sheild cable and replace it all so I no its not that for sure.

ANTILAG! thoughts on fitting it to a starlet
_shaun_ replied to dangarbutt's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Spuddys runs anti lagg on his. Think its the cost that's the killer for proper AL you'll want a full standalone -
Were exactly is the cable sheilding ment to earth to? On the sensor side there's nowhere for it to attach to so am guessing its ecu side? Wire continuity seems to be fine.
-
It senses det and throws up a eml and then goes into a Sort of safe mode yea. But Normaly it turns out to be the wiring or sensor as apposed to actual det.

Really starting todo my head in ill just start from the beginning. Picked up a forged v running a td04 and emu. Power wise was shocking so stuck my hybrid gt28 on it and took it to be remapped. The car always had issues starting from warm which I put down to the horrid map. So day arrives am at the rollers car goes on and guy starts to map it 10 mins in the car stalls and we can't get it to start. Number of checks later we found the timing belt was out. Sorted that and got back on rollers but the car wouldn't boost past 1.2bar but still made a decent figure and was a machine to drive. Only

looking to see the proper torque setting for the knock sensor. cheers shaun

Just to confirm the converter does remove the speed cut. The ecu gets the signal from speedo which is ran by the converter or so am led to believe. What's actually happening when you hit 100? Is it just not going anymore or is it juddering holding back?
