Chris Green replied to Rock-Kick-Ass's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
Look well mate, especially like the way it sits on those wheels -
This looks well mate, I hope to see this in the flesh soon! Think I remember seeing your Yaris about.
-
Its not fitted yet, I have get the centre section chopped and a flange welded on to suit the OBX manifold. I Fitted the back box and it look a bit too big.

I'm from Bangor in the North

I'm hoping it will be on the road by the end of this month. You probably have mate, I was always about in Bangor, Ards and Belfast. There was a build thread on RMS from 2 previous owners as well. That's brilliant! I found receipts from 2001 a while back from what I guess was the first owner getting the 1st set of new tires as there was only 12K according the receipts. We should definable get something organised in the near future.

It was taken off the road August 2011 so coming out to a year and a half now, too long if you ask me lol Cheers buddy, Yeah a meet would be great!
-
I have't yet, I have 4 completely bald tyres and half an exhaust at the moment. I need the centre section chopped and a flange welded on to suit the Obx manifold. I can't wait though!

I got my japspeed one from these guys, £80.00 inc postage - was well chuffed
-
Thanks mate. They definitely look the part, did you see good gains with it? Fingers crossed end of this month. Yeah sounds good, get some photos!
-
Cheers mate, I hope to have it on the road very soon, have only drove it up the drive way I can't really judge by that. I'm only using the 4e ecu, I'm will eventually splash out on a good ECU.

All is running sweet now, 1800rpm until warm then just under 1000rpm when warm. Got the brakes all sorted so all I need now is hopefully a MOT and Tax. I changed the colour of the rocker cover too. Colour coded it with the body. Next plans are: Blue ignition leads to match the hoses Some bride seats Full respray Alloy wheel refurb Crystal fogs for the remix bumper Crystal Head lights And that shout be it.

5e-fhe idling at 3000rpm
Chris Green replied to Chris Green's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Problem sorted, I'm an idiot. I was having a look trough Ryans how to thread for changing the tb's from the fte to the na and realises that I had taken the sensor off the end, which 3 holes in the manifold. ***FACE PALM*** -
5e-fhe idling at 3000rpm
Chris Green replied to Chris Green's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Yes, it's the original throttle body that came on the 4e-fe. I will have a look and check everything is sealed up properly. Thanks -
Hi guys, Looking for some advice. I fitted the 5e-fhe to my n/a yesterday. The engine started on the 1st turn of the key, which was a relief, however on tick over. The engine hasn't been running for over a minute as I don't want to cause any damage as it is a freshly re built engine. I have blocked the extra vacuum pipes, also I have plugged it in to a snap-on ethos kit and got no fault codes. I am still using the standard 4e-fe ecu. Could this be the ecu adjusting or is something not right? Cheers in advance
-
I have changed the injectors to the 5e-fhe and got an ajustable fpr, the fueling seems fine, its going to get hooked up to the ethos kit, and that will give a reading on afr.
-
I'm guessing the ecu is basically going wtf is happening, last time I was started I was 1.3. Not sure whether its just adjusting. But I will check all the vacuum lines.
-
Cheers guys. Plan is to get the revs on tick over sorted. Bleed the brakes and take it for a test drive on the trade plates. This prob won't be done until boxing day.

After no updates for 3 weeks, the car is finally running. On the crane about to go in Picked this up for £60.00 compared to the usual £350.00 - A full japspeed stainless system Finally in Started on first turn of the key, although the revs are sitting on idle at 3000rpm - will look into this tomorrow

Problem sorted, dodgy wire to the started motor. Cheers guys.
