well a nice little update its not quite a td04l turbo but its was 160quid covered 8k and seemed to good to pass up yes its a tongs gt spec hybrid turbo

just wondering what peoples views are on the tongs gt spec hybrid turbos as ive just bought 1 thats covered 8k for 160quid witch i think is a good bargin just wondering what sort of power boost people are running with these turbos

take it apart and clean it all out mate if the purple insert is cacked a new 1 is about 15quid on ebay mate i rebuilt my mates for his pulsar witch was doing the same .i just stripped it all down left it in sum petrol over night .then got a new insert dryed all the other stuff rebuilt it and sound right .try that mate

ummm id just go threw everything boost related ect checking all gaskets clamps sensors ect mate as you say its bound to be somthing daft it normalt always is

ummm drop your de-cat off and check the waste gate penny if your still running the internal waste gate mate as that vrx i did the other day when i booted it down the road the waste gate penny kept sticking open .all did was drop the de-cat spray some wd40 took the actuator arm off and worked the penny open and shut for few min till it felt looser put it all back together and was fine mate .so worth a look mate its normaly somthing silly like that bud

we use a tool at work that streches the new boot open and can fitt it with out taking the cvs off makes life so much easyer and the tool was only 45quid from are local parts factor

if it rubs ill just get a big hammer out and give somthing a technical tap

check all your vacume and boost pipes mate anywiring plugs aswell and check all hose clamps maybe breathing ect air from some where i had a vxr in work the other day doing same thing

ive seen some rims i wont for my glanza but they are 4x100 et30 would these fitt ok if i ran 195/45/15 tyres
