  1. When the engine light comes on does anything happen?
  2. I ran a DC2 for a while and an Altezza RS200, both 'powerful' NA engines, but to be honest having nothing until 5000rpm then 3000rpm's worth of 'power' felt a little... Dull. There was little to no torque and I just got bored of it pretty quickly. The beemer 330ci I ran for a while however, that was a nice NA engine. Torquey right through the rev range with enough poke up top. A bar on a TD04 is the norm bud, tends to be what every man and his dog is running now! TF035 at a bar is my plan eventually. Toffinator has just got his running and it sounds awesome tbh. A bar at 3k? Lovele
  3. Haha air locks are horrific. In the end I did the classic, I'd ordered a new rad, decided a quick trip wouldn't hurt. Temp gauge flew up on the A34 and I ended up in a layby swearing in a cloud of steam. New rad arrived the next morning :-P Lol
  4. This is bloody epic. Pretty much exactly what I wanna do to my V :-P Toff your an inspiration lol
  5. I don't see how installing a fuel pump is so hard tbh..: underlying problems?
  6. 4G63 is a straight swap. The head from the mivec mirages is a straight swap aswell bar needing a different length cambelt and a map. There was a guy around here who had one running 195bhp on a really sensible rev limit and a Dastek Piggy Back ECU. Now it's boosted :| Goes to a lot of the shows at Santa Pod, it looks a bit horriffic, really wide arches and a red leather interior. But it goes like stink.
  7. I spent AGES trying to find a Mivec head from a Cyborg for the Satria, 1.8 Mivec lumps are little monsters with that head, it's an extra 70bhp... Massive amount on an NA!
  8. by the way, the Satrias rare? According to how many left theres only 3 Civics!
  9. I will, once she's here I'm gonna start her a build thread up! The Satria is a cracking bit of kit to be fair, Recaro interior, awesome handling, shitty badge
  10. Potential for the worlds greatest sleeper. 'What the f**k is... WAS that!?' *vomit*
  11. If your rads got a hole though it can suck air in, my Alfa used to do it, then the temp gauge would shoot through the roof and I'd have another blockage . With the pipes I meant I just keep on squeezing them until the fluid pops out the top of the rad and bleeding is complete! lol
  12. LOL Tesco Car Park spotters. Welcome along!
  13. If I saw someone driving around in that I'd think to myself: he's made it, enough money to tumble dry his jag? The man must be minted.
  14. She asked for something different, I compiled a short list, she drove it and loved it! Never thought I'd see the day when she preferred a manual rack to power steering! We just need to sell her Satria GTI now :-P
  15. These were kicking about last year; there was a guide on sourcing the parts yourself and some good reviews, unknown as to where they have disappeared too! For £10 it can't hurt to try it so I've ordered a set!
  16. FCD and FPR will be fine if set up properly. Do not run a FCD alone. When you get the actuator just set it low so it doesnt swing up and hit fuel cut. And on another note, trnaslating it into English would help people trying to help you.
  17. Really soft and nothing oozed out? I keep on going until theres fluid coming out the top of the rad, on and off like the warm up to a Thai massage, cleared every blockage I've ever had!
  18. Legend, cheers mate! The standard 1.5 100bhp EW5 engine. To be honest I contemplated selling the V when I saw it, but it was an expensive weekend Aquired this and a turbo'd Altezza (Which is going to be broken, she's beyond/not worth saving!) EDIT: The misses dad runs a body shop for an insurance company. It's going to be in very good hands ;)
  19. There will be updates :-) were picking it up on Saturday and getting it into a body shop to get the rear arches done ASAP, H_D anything I should know? Lol
  20. 140 miles to almost a full tank is not normal by any means under really conservative driving
  21. Translation: In your opinion why do you not think it will fuel efficiently? Currently it's been set up on a dyno, even though there is no form of aftermarket management or adjustable FPR and it overboosts to 0.9 Bar constantly. It's been running lean but I don't consider that a problem! I plan on upgrading the actuator to an aftermarket unit and hoping that it holds boost properly to 0.9 Bar appose to spiking all over the place. I'd like to run it epically lean at high boost using just a Fuel Cut Defender as I'm impatient and can't be bothered to save a few pennies to do it efficiently w
  22. Ill give it a shot this week. This is my 2nd V. Nigh on same spec as my 1st. It's been modded for a while and only started doing it recently.
  23. Boost gauge was sat firmly in the negative, it's only started doing it recently aswell, I usually drive up to see the rents once a month and it's been peachy. Going to be breaking a boosted Altezza soon so the cash from that can go towards sorting my dire fuel economy!
  24. CT9, I'll check the fuel tank tonight but there is potential for the Lambda to be banjo'd, doesn't look like an OEM part TBH. Cheers for the replies!
  25. Cruising along the motorway, betwen 65-75ish for about 140 miles yestarday, and the car used almost a full tank :| 1/4 of a tank used to get me about 100 miles. The stat is still working, revs are high when shes cold and drop when she warms up etc. In terms of fuel consumption thats bordering on evo territory! Any ideas?
