Cheers lads! Been driving it about the last few days, handling is pretty damn good, rides nice enough, should make an ideal fast road car with uprated dampers, a short shifter and a TD04/5 :-)

Plug it in and see what happens? TRD would t necessarily need a daughter board would they? The daughter boards were simply so after market tuners could tinker where as TRD are an in house brand so could program the ECUs directly. Hypothetically anyway! Chances are its just a sticker though! The light thing is only when under UV light. Or so I read! My old Zep ECU had been opened and was peachy.

In a weird way I've always wanted to build a mental sleeper out of one of these.......

Just a high whining? Do you no if its getting fuel? Pump might be shagged. Could always undo the hose off your fuel rail and see if it fires petrol everywhere when you turn it over lol Is the car actually turning over? You say the belts are spinning but are they engaging the cams etc? Take the oil cap off and see if they are spinning. Weird solutions but weirder has happened!

I got a 14.8 with minimal mods, and regarding laughing stock, I got a 15.3 with my boot opening half way up the strip! Hahaha -
TF035, best of both worlds. End of post.

I have a 3SGE out of an Altezza in need of a rebuild if your willing to take on an über manly challenge :-)

WMS are über brakes. XYZ are used on some of the time attack cars. CTC use them on there MR2, I had a chat with the owner at Santa pod a couple of years ago and they have a mechanical extra handbrake for the rears aswell which could save Keri some dramas!

http://www.epracing.co.uk/D1-Spec-Gauges/c-1-738/ Ive been using one of those boost gauges. Had it in for a few months now and I've been impressed. Had a few gauges before, but I like the aesthetics of these and they have a decent quality look to them once theyre put together! Well priced too considering the quality and the stepper motor.

Rear Strut Without Trimming / The Great Strut Debate

hahahaha I like it. So the conclusion is: Hollow is best. Floppy ends aren't so good. -

The Ultra braces may be hollow but theyre solid enough, I used my Levin one to prize open my mates shed door when the lock seized lol -

LOL I enjoyed this thread, more interesting than the usual: 'Can dis seet fit in my car?' or 'Will these et90 18' x 12' fit without any arch work?' Let us know if it's hollow or solid -

Who makes solid ones? Lol my old ultra racing ones, my OEM and the weird one I had on my DC2 were all hollow :-P -

Solid/Welded ends I agree with wholeheartedly. Never seen the point of flexible ends tbh, they look pretty but theyre not stiff. http://www.physicsforums.com/archive/index.php/t-37701.html says "Most of the strength of a cylinder comes from the outer portions. I think the contribution goes like the cube of the radial position. So, if you took a solid rod and drilled out a half the volume from the center, you do not lose half the strength. Strength to weight ratio is better for a hollow pipe than a solid rod." A solid steel bar wide enough to use as a strut brace would weigh -
Rear Strut Without Trimming / The Great Strut Debate

With the same amount of material used a hollow tube will always be stronger and less resistant to flex until compromised. (Dented etc) I could of swore that my old ultra racing strut brace was hollow for that reason. Look at a straw for example compared to a plastic stick. A skinny stick (i.e a cable tie) will flex like fudge but a straw will stay rigid until you've applied enough pressure to cause it to kink. Solid ends however make sense. Like the ultra racing ones! -
Great minds think alike :-P check my post on here 1st there's a pic of mine in there! Forgot about that lol

Why a solid bar? :-S -
How much would I expect to get for my car?
Addymk2 replied to Dan_Henderson's topic in Lifestyle General
Even without your foot down :-P lol Comfy as fudge though and a lot of car for the money! If you can aim for the half leather seats. -
Your sick is covered in ink? That can't be good for you.
